Knoxville, TN April 2017 I n the book of Deuteronomy, Moses speaks his last words to the Israelites. A big part of the message could be summarized by three words: Do Not Forget! Dont forget what the Lord God has done for you. During 40 years in the desert your clothes didnt wear out and your sandals remained like new. Remember how your God supplied you with food every day and water to drink when there was none. Moses, who wasnt allowed to go into the promise land, knew that the Israelites would be greatly blessed in this land lowing with mild and honey. He also knew that they would be tempted to believe that all their prosperity was a result of their own work and actions. Remember, exhorts Moses, it is the Lord who prospers you. This you mustnt forget! In the book of Revelation the church in Ephesus is warned: You have forsaken your irst love. Remember the height from which you have fallen. Now to us today: Remember when you attended church every Sunday. Remember when you knelt bedside and prayed every night. Remember when you attended Bible study and learned so many things. Remember when the name of Jesus thrilled and excited you. Remember when you were asked to serve and always said yes. Remember when you were illed with gratitude toward God for your many blessings. Now some of you cant remember any of this because it wasnt true for you. But it can be a part of your life now. For others of you, you have drifted. You were once alive in Christ, but now the ember of faith only lickers. You can come back. You need to come back! Remember your childhood in the faith. How easy it was to be- lieve! How exciting and satisfying it was. Jesus is still that incredible Savior. The Word of God is still powerful and true. Embrace is all again while there is still time. Remember! ~ Pastor Rich
