Coach Burns’ Health Tips!
Week of April 6: The average child spends more time watching TV, and less time running and playing. It’s important to find creative ways to exercise and play every day, which can be fun and beneficial to your health.
Week of April 13: Wear Comfy Shoes- Your shouldn't buy kicks that hurt, bottom line! Your shoes should feel comfortable from the first step. Make sure the sneaks are a little roomy—enough so that you can wiggle your toes, but no more than that.

Action for Apes
Remember when recycling your cell phones to donate them through Copeland! January through APE-ril 30th, we will be working hard to collect as many cell phones as possible to be recycled through the Houston Zoo. Please assist us in the challenge by working with family members to collect old cell phones, which students can bring to school and add them to our collection bin. If we win the challenge, we will win an original painting that was created by the chimpanzee’s from the Houston Zoo!
Please join us in our participation in the Action for Apes Challenge and help us reach our goal and become the 2015 winners!!!
Hearing and Screening Workshops
The next Vision and Hearing workshop will be held at Sheridan Elementary School from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. on May 19th (Vision) and May 20th (Hearing). If your current certification ex-pired in 12/2014 or about to expire OR if you have never taken the class please consider doing so. State mandated screenings cannot be accomplished without parent participation. Please call the clinic to sign up at 281-856-1406. Two only per class are permitted, however, there may be room for more.

Are you moving in the near future?
Are you moving outside the Copeland attendance zone?
Did you know that moving doesn’t always mean you have to change
schools?
Moving to a new home is a big and sometimes stressful event. Let us help you make it a little easier. CFISD offers multiple options to parents of students who are moving, including some options to continue attending Copeland. Mrs. Kraft can help guide you through the options and the process, so you can make an informed decision.
If you have any questions feel free to contact Dawn Kraft via email at
[email protected] or by phone at (281) 856-1404.
