WELCOME TO THENETHOPE COLLABORATION NETWORK

Welcome to the NetHope Collaboration Network. This network is private to those who areinvited and is powered by Yammer. Participating the network is as easy as sending an emailbut also allows for a more social and rich community experience.

A one-time account sign up is required to participate. If you have not received an invitationvia email, please request an invite!

Set up your Yammer account to start using Yammer to communicate, collaborate and shareinformation with ease.

1. The best way to sign up for an account is to accept the invitation sent to your workemail inbox. Please check spam or junk folders! It should look something like this:

If you have not received an invitation,go to yammer.com/nethopeinc andrequest to join by entering your workemail address.

2. Once you've requested or accepted an invitation, you'll receive a confirmation email toactivate your account to your work account.

3. To complete the setup (Office 365 is *not* required to join the NetHope CollaborationNetwork), click the web address in the email message. This will automatically go to yourorganization's network.

a. If you have Office 365, you will log in with your organization's credentials.If it is your first time using Yammer, you may be placed into yourorganization's Yammer network rather than the NetHope CollaborationNetwork. Please navigate to yammer.com/nethopeinc.

b. If you don't have Office 365, you will be directed to create a Yammer account.c. If you have an existing Yammer account, you can log in, rather than sign up.

4. Complete the new user sign-up steps that automatically appear on your screen.

That's it for the one-time setup! The next time you sign in to Yammer, you will be leaddirectly to yammer.com/nethopeinc. Thank you for joining us!

EDITING YOUR YAMMER PROFILE

Your Yammer profile helps colleagues learn more about you and your work experience,while helping them put a face to a name. Yammer also uses your profile information to helpmake connections and strengthen your organization's social network.

1. Near your profile picture in the bottom left, click the gear.

2. Click Edit Settings.

3. On the profile page, add your job title, department, location, expertise, contact info,and any other details you think would be useful to your colleages.

4. Load up in the Interests field so you appear in search results when colleagues are tryingto find someone with the right experience or expertise.

5. Upload a photo of yourself.

6. Click Save.

The next time colleagues click on your name or photo, they will see your profile info.

Please review your email notification settings to customize how you interact with Yammerin email.

Depending on the settings, you may be asked to confirm the post once you've sent it:

When you get a notification of a new post in Yammer, it looks like this (example shownin Gmail):

If you want to respond to a message, just send a reply as you would for any other email(or click on the link to view the conversation on Yammer itself). Please note that if yoursignature is automatically included on emails, your signature will be added to the originalmessage in Yammer as well.

To prevent this from happening, simply add two dashes to a separate line at the verybeginning of the signature.

Please note that only the first 150-200 characters of the original message will be shownin email form. For optimal impact and participation, place the most compelling andrelevant information at the beginning of a message so recipients can determine whetherthe thread is of interest.

ADDITIONAL TIPS FOR EMAIL:

The same message as it's viewed in Yammer:

To follow a conversation that interests you, click View Conversation to open the threadin Yammer. Then open the context menu and select Follow in Inbox.

Alternatively, you can reply to the email with "Following" in the body to receive futurecontributions to the conversation. NOTE: Recipients will only receive the first email ina conversation unless they explicitly choose to follow the conversation, participatein the conversation, or are mentioned in the conversation.

CONVERSING IN YAMMER

Right away, choose to have a positive impact on your social network by voicing agreementand praise for content and colleagues. It's easy to do and a great habit to get into!

Like a post:

If you find something interesting and valuable, say so. When you "like" a message, theperson who posted the message will receive a notification that you did so. Use "like" toindicate agreement with an idea, acknowledge that you've seen the message, or to letsomeone know that you enjoy what they're saying.

1. Click a Group that interests you in the Groups List.

2. Start with the All Network group that you belong to by default.

3. Browse the list of posts and conversations.

4. When you see a post or conversation that piques your interest, click Like.

Praise someone:

Everybody loves a compliment. When you praise someone, focus especially on messageswhere employees are sharing business knowledge, skills or successes.

1. Locate the following row of icons toward the top of the page and click Praise to displaythe dialogue box.

2. Type the name of the person you want to praise. You can enter more than one name!

3. If you want to attach a file, click on the paperclip.

4. It's a good idea to add other people such as the individual's manager or teammatesto notify them as well.

5. When you're finished, click Post.

JOINING AND FOLLOWING GROUPS

Content is classified by Yammer into topics, which are wider subject areas that act as anindex across the Yammer network. Topics help you keep up with information that mattersto you, regardless of the group the information is in.

1. In the navigation bar, clickMore (...).

2. Click Apps.

3. On the Apps page, scroll down to locateMyApps and click on Topics.

4. Select any topic of interest, and click Follow.

The next time you use Apps, you'll see the current set of topics you're following.

When you follow someone on Yammer, it means you want to see messages from them inyour feed. You can search for people by name by using the search box. Or you can scrollthrough the All Network group and follow someone who is posting content that interestsyou there.

1. In the navigation bar, clickMore (...).

2. Click People.

3. On the People Directory page, locate the person you want to follow and click +Follow.

NOTE: The topics and people you follow will show up in your feed, which is yourpersonal information hub.

Groups are a great way to get work done with a team or to stay informed about a topic.The All Network group is the default group everyone posts to; you are automatically apart of this group. Most groups are public and easy to join, but some are private andrequire approval.

1. In the Groups list, click a group that interests you.

2. If you don't find a group that interests you right away, click Browse Groups and atthe bottom of the pop-up window, click View More Groups.

3. When you find a group that interests you, click +Join.

4. If the group is private and membership approval is required, request admission.

Reply to a message and post a message to a group to further the dialog, provide usefulinformation or insight, ask questions, provide answers and highlight best practices forothers to see. Replying and posting also encourages contributions from your colleagues.

Reply to a conversation:

Engaging in conversations helps make the Yammer network more vibrant and build thepool of knowledge that others can tap. Browse the group postings and then reply to aconversation to have a dialogue with other group members.

1. In the Groups list, click a group that you have joined.

2. Scan the list of posts and conversations within each post, both of which are listedfrom newest to oldest.

3. When you see a conversation that you want to respond to, click Reply.

4. When there are already several replies, make sure you are replying to the right person,either to the one who posted the original message, or to another person who hasreplied. When you reply, Yammer tells you who you are replying to at the top of theReply box.

5. Enter your reply and click Post.

Post a message:

Now it's time to post your first message! Share something useful, interesting and likely tospur more conversation.

1. In the Groups list, click a group that you have joined.

2. At the top of the group, click Update, and then enter a message.

3. Add a link to a Box document rather than using the Yammer attach feature (paperclip).

4. When you're finished, click Post.

NOTE: You can delete a message at any time!

FINDING ANSWERS FAST

Chances are, a message, file or colleague can quickly answer those pressing questions youhave. Keeping up to date with your organization's information is what the feed is all about.

Who's the expert? Where's the ifnormation I need? How can I answer my question?Before I create a group for my needs, is there already one out there? Sounds like you needSearch to quickly locate people, files, topics and groups.

1. In the navigation bar search box, click Search for people, groups and conversations.

2. As you type your search term, a likely list of categorized results will be displayed.

3. If you don't see the results you're looking for, click See more search results.

4. Browse the complete search results which are categorized by tabs.

If you find a colleague is online in the Online Now box, click their name to send them aninstant message. Icons and colors next to their name will indicate whether they are listedas online, offline or on mobile.

YOUR FEED

Your feed helps keep you in touch and up to date. There are three feed views you can useto navigate Yammer.

Top: This is a feed of the conversations most relevant to you, based on what you subscribeto and your interactions with Yammer network content.

All: These are all the conversations for which you have access within your org network.

Following: These are the conversations you actively subscribe to, including: conversationsthat your followers have participated in or liked, conversations that you have been taggedin with a topic you follow, and conversations that have been posted in one of your Groups.

NOTE: Use the Top and Following tabs to filter information. The All tab does not filterand may be overwhelming.

To use the feed:

1. In the top navigation bar, click Home.

2. Your feed is displayed in the middle of the page.

3. Click the tab you want: Top, All or Following.

4. NOTE: Click the gear to the right of the feed selection to have Yammer save yourpreferences.

BEST PRACTICES

1. Once a week, praise a colleage who has gone above and beyond.

2. Join three groups of interest to you. Make sure one of them is a hobby or something fun!

3. Spend 20 minutes a day scanning your feed to stay up to date.

4. Prefer to use your keyboard? When you're in Yammer, just type a question mark (?) to seekeyboard shortcuts.
