Teacher Notes: The students will have been concentrating on the different food groups the previous week to this assignment, covering one food group a day and the foods that belong within each group. Subject: Health Topic: Nutrition And Physical Activity Grade: 2nd Prior Knowledge: Students will need to already know the five food groups in order to characterize the different foods using MyPlate. CrossCurricular Links: reading and math Lesson Notes: The students will use counting, categorizing, and websites in the activities within these different activities. How lesson can be adapted to meet different learning needs TQP Strategies used: This can me used for any type of learner because set these activities up as a center with partners for the lower level students who need assistant or have students complete the activities independently for more of a challenge. The differentiation depends on how the teacher wants to use this to teach.
