Know where you are heading before you start the journey

And ensure sure the road you select leads you to valuable and interesting

places

Build a Strategy focused on; Ø  Business Initiatives Ø  Innovation Ø  Continuous Improvement Ø  Rapid Delivery as the core principles of execution

3

Ø  Having a 3 to 5 year strategy roadmap is critical (know where you are going)

Ø  Modernization through multi-year “big-bang” programs is a recipe for failure (too big to fail)

Ø  Modernization programs succeed when people see constant improvement (build trust through engagement)

Ø  Delivering small pieces allows the organization to be flexible and react to change without disrupting the overall plan (todays decisions are only valid today)

Rapid Enterprise Advancement Program

1.  Define the strategy and select the components required to realize the vision

2.  Identify quick-win opportunities for improvement

3.  Define and initiate a continuous improvement program to deliver targeted business focused improvements in tandem with more complex areas of the overall strategy program
