The National Admissions Test for Law (LNAT)

– Run by a consortium of UK universities in partnership with Pearson VUE

– Must be taken by all candidates applying to an undergraduate law programme at one or more of the participating institutions

– Designed to provide an assessment of a candidate’s potential for law degree courses

• Two sections:- Multiple choice

- 80 minutes- assesses ability to read, understand, analyse and make

logical deductions from passages of text- 30 questions

- Essay- 40 minutes- assesses ability to construct reasoned arguments
