The employees’ primary du� will be conducting front-country patrols at day use sites and developed and dispersed campsites around the district. Typical developed recreation duties include area restoration and rehabilitation, picking up trash, educating the public on using the area appropriately, ensuring that restroom facilities are clean, patrolling trails and picnic areas.
The Cle Elum Ranger District is a high use district with visitors from around the world. The ideal applicant works well with people from di�erent backgrounds and is passionate about protecting natural resources. Employees will receive intensive training and education in natural resource management from an inter-disciplinary, field-based perspective. This is a very dynamic district. The ideal candidate is flexible, organized and self-motivated and has the abili� to thrive in a fast-paced, mentally and physically demanding work environment. Problem solving skills are a must.
