These lessons are to transform your life based on the Word of God. The goal

is for you to have life more abundantly and receive the promises that God

swore to our fore fathers.

We as Christians must understand that we are in the promise land and have

been delivered from bondage but can’t receive what God has for us until we

apply His Word to our life by the renewing of our minds and transform from

our worldly ways.

This is the beginning of a new day for us. It is time to let go of traditions and

get back to the true Word of God. I pray each lesson is a blessing to you and

all the people that you meet on this journey call life.

No Other gods

Exodus 20:3 - You shall have no other gods before Me."

Genesis. 1:1-3 - In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. And the earth was formless

and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep; and the Spirit of God was moving over the

surface of the waters. Then God said, "Let there be light"; and there was light.

Genesis. 2:7-8 - Then the Lord God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his

nostrils the breath of life; and man, became a living being. And the Lord God planted a garden

toward the east, in Eden; and there He placed the man whom He had formed.

Genesis. 2:18,21,22 - Then the Lord God said, "It is not good for man to be alone. (v21) So the Lord

God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and he slept; then He took one of his ribs, and closed

the flesh at that place. (v22) And the Lord God fashioned into a woman the rib which He had taken

from the man, and brought her to the man.

From the section where I just read, the words "LORD GOD" are used many times. The LORD GOD

formed, the LORD GOD planted, the LORD GOD said, the LORD GOD caused, the LORD GOD

fashioned, the LORD GOD took, the LORD GOD made, the LORD GOD commanded the man

saying, "From any tree of the garden you may eat freely; but from the tree of the knowledge of good

and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you shall surely die" (Genesis. 2:16-17).

The LORD GOD, Jehovah our God is God. He is the one who has created all things. He put

everything in its place. He has given all things purpose, from the stars in the heaven to the birds in

the air. From the waters that move on the earth, to the blood that flows in your veins.

It is Jehovah your God who has given you life and sustains you, who gives you food, who sends the

wind, the rain, and the sun. The earth, even all the universe and all that is in it, was made by Him

for His pleasure.

• Therefore, Jehovah is worthy of honor, of praise, of devotion, and of adoration. No one and

nothing else is worthy of being worshipped, adored, or trusted as God. Jehovah our God is

God.

• Because He is holy, awesome, mighty, pure, and sovereign, He is worthy of worship. Because

He is the creator, the sustainer, the redeemer, He is worthy of worship.

• Simply, because of who He is; He is worthy of worship.

No Other gods

That is why it is recorded in Exodus 20:3, "You shall have no other gods before Me." For there are

no other Gods and He alone is the only Sovereign, the only Lord, the only God. It is to Him alone

that you are to give adoration, devotion, your trust and your worship.

• Do you have little idols in your life that control you?

o Who do you trust?

o What do you trust?

o Where is your hope?

To have a god before Jehovah means to give worship, adoration, devotion, trust, or hope to

something or someone other than the true God, therefore, according to Exodus 20:3.

• Avoid - what endangers true worship (That which is obviously pagan)

o The actual worship of another God (False Religion)

▪ Cults

▪ Religious denomination

▪ Individual godhood

• man's relation to God,

• man's relation to man

• man's relation to nature

▪ Giving the reverent titles of Lord, God, Creator, Sovereign, Savior, to anyone

or anything other than the true God.

▪ Prayer to anyone other than God

• i.e., to the saints or Mary as is done in the catholic Churches.

o Superstitious:

▪ Sorcery: If I pray this or do that I can get what I want -- Positive confession.

▪ Astrology: Looking to the stars for guidance.

▪ Tarot Cards: Seeking guidance from random chance.

• Acknowledge - Him as the only true God

o There is only one God. "You are my witnesses," declares the LORD, "and my servant

whom I have chosen, so that you may know and believe me and understand that I am

he. Before me no god was formed, nor will there be one after me" (Isaiah 43:10).

o God as a Trinity: Father, Son, Holy Spirit.

o Knowing God is only possible through Jesus Christ.

▪ The testimony comes from the Holy Spirit, sent by the Father, who is revealed

by the Son.

Page 6: Apply and Never Be the Samestorage.googleapis.com/wzukusers/user...May 10, 2017  · Genesis. 2:7-8 - Then the Lord God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils

No Other gods

Matthew 11:27 - "All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except

the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to

reveal him."

Knowing God means knowing what He has done.

• He has created all that exists.

• He has redeemed all His people.

• The CROSS

• You must...

o Trust in Him alone.

▪ To trust God is to trust His love.

o Look to Him alone

▪ patiently, humbly, joyfully.

o Love Him alone

▪ Matthew 22:37 – Jesus said to him. “You shall love the Lord your God with all

your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind”. Read Matthew 22:38-

40 as well.

o Through Jesus alone.

o Without Jesus, there is no true Worship.

• Abandon - Anything that hinders your true worship of God:

o Religious:

▪ Going to church for the sake of going to church.

▪ Trusting in your denomination rather than Christ.

▪ Trusting in doctrine instead of Christ.

o The reverent trust in anything other than God

▪ cars, money, job security, self, etc.

o Pride -- to exalt yourself.

o Stubbornness -- to keep yourself right.

o Harboring resentment -- to justify yourself.

o Quenching the Spirit of God.

o How do you overcome those things?

▪ Through Jesus!

▪ Prayer!

▪ Listen to the call of the Spirit

• Become sensitive to the things of God.

No Other gods

Conclusion: Therefore, you are to avoid trusting in another god, or what may take the place of God

in your life: possession, attitude, etc.; You are to acknowledge Him as the only true God and

Sovereign -- through Jesus Christ your Lord. Finally, you are to abandon anything that gets in the

way of your relationship and true worship of God.

The Sabbath “2017 Lesson Plan Part-2”

The Sabbath

It's true that when God first instituted the Sabbath in Eden, He made no mention of going to church

on that day; He just set it aside for a holy purpose, which He would expand upon it later. Genesis

2:1–3 and in Exodus, He did indeed give us more details about the specifics of that holy day in the

Ten Commandments. Still, the Ten Commandments give no instruction that we are to gather

together for worship on that day. They just give guidelines on what it means to keep it holy (Exodus

20:8–11).

But as we move forward in Scripture, we come across an enlightening verse in Leviticus: “Six days

shall work be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, a holy convocation. You shall

do no work on it; it is the Sabbath of the Lord in all your dwellings” (Leviticus 23:3). The word

“convocation” is from the Hebrew word which means a public meeting, assembly, or gathering. Here

God added a detail about the Sabbath: It’s also to be a time for holy assemblies (i.e., worship services).

Further, in Isaiah, we read, ‘It shall come to pass that from one New Moon to another, and from one

Sabbath to another, all flesh shall come to worship before Me,’ says the Lord” (Isaiah 66:23). This is

speaking of worship in eternity, but God specifically mentions the Sabbath and coming together for

worship in this passage.

The main reason, though, that we associate the Sabbath with assembling for worship is the example

of Jesus. Here are some scriptures that highlight this:

▪ “Then they went into Capernaum, and immediately on the Sabbath He entered the synagogue

and taught” (Mark 1:21).

▪ “When the Sabbath had come, He began to teach in the synagogue and many hearings Him were

astonished saying, ‘Where did this Man get these things? And what wisdom is this which is given

to Him, that such mighty works are performed by His hands!” (Mark 6:2).

▪ “So, He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He went into

the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read” (Luke 4:16).

▪ “Now it happened on another Sabbath, also, that He entered the synagogue and taught. And a

man was there whose right hand was withered” (Luke 6:6).

Over and over again we see Jesus in the synagogue on the Sabbath. We’re even told that it was His

custom to be there on that day. The disciples also followed in the example of Jesus, as we can clearly

see in the book of Acts:

▪ “When they departed from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia, and went into the synagogue

on the Sabbath day and sat down” (Acts 13:14).

▪ “When the Jews went out of the synagogue, the Gentiles begged that these words might be

preached to them the next Sabbath” (Acts 13:42).

▪ “He reasoned in the synagogue every Sabbath, and persuaded both Jews and Greeks” (Acts 18:4).

The Sabbath

These scriptures are referring to church services, where people gathered together on the Sabbath

day.

Did Jesus and His disciples worship at the synagogue every Sabbath only because they were Jews?

Was it simply a cultural thing to do? God created the seventh-day Sabbath and set it apart for rest

and worship when there were only two human beings on the planet—long before Abraham, the

father of the Jews. Also, Jesus said, “The Sabbath was made for man” (Mark 2:27).

Now let’s look at this issue from a common-sense point of view. God said that we are to keep the

Sabbath holy. That means no work, i.e., ceasing from secular labor according to Exodus 20:8–11.

That leaves us with a free day! What better way to spend the Sabbath than to gather together with

like-minded believers and worship the God who created it?

Worship itself is an act of love. What a privilege to worship our Lord, on His holy day, surrounded

by His people—that’s a triple blessing for us! Also, no person is an island—we gather strength from

one another. That’s why God told us the following in Hebrews 10:24, 25: “Let us consider one

another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together,

as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day

approaching.”

What is the seventh day of the week (The Sabbath)?

You can look in a dictionary or in an encyclopedia, and it all tells you what the days of the week are.

The first day is called Sunday, the seventh day is called Saturday and the Bible says in the Ten

Commandments that He blessed the seventh day and commanded us to keep it holy.

If you’re looking for a verse that specifically says, “Go to church on Sabbath,” you won’t find it.

However, God has given us the example of His Son, additional verses, and common sense to help us

answer this question with confidence.

What God Expects from Us

Background

▪ We are going back to the Book of Exodus, to the time when the Israelites were travelling to

the Promised Land.

▪ The people of Israel had been slaves in Egypt for 400 years.

▪ God brought them out of Egypt by Moses.

▪ They had seen God do some incredible things: Passover, Red Sea, Manna every day and

water from a Rock.

▪ Now they are at Mt Sinai:

1. Moses went to the mountain top to getting the 10 commandments.

2. All the people of Israel were down at the foot of the mountain getting bored.

3. Then came the idea to forget about Moses, and “make” themselves some gods, and have

a “real” worship service (Exodus 32:1-9) - dancing, nakedness (Exodus 32:25), and

drunkenness (Exodus 32:6) – times haven’t changed at all!

4. Aaron makes a golden idol, and everybody gets “into the spirit” 5. That is, until Moses comes down and finds all this was going on.

A. Do you know what God does? (Exodus 32:26)

1. Called for MEN to decide if they are on the Lord’s side or not.

2. If they were then follow God.

B. In chapter 33, the Lord shows us a glimpse of what MEN are supposed to be doing. Not just

women, children, wimps, or troubled individuals, but MEN!

Message - What God Expects of Us Today (Exodus 33:1-11):

▪ Follow God (Exodus 33:1-6):

1. Go all out for God - In life, in love, in achievement and in joy.

2. I think God’s hardest task is to get us committing to live by His Word.

3. Israel had gotten side-tracked as we do today.

a. Israel had started off right - left Egypt (Freedom)

b. The Passover had bought them their freedom (Salvation)

c. They were supposed to get to Canaan (the Promised Land) and live a different life.

d. But the troubles of life affected them:

1. Constant complaining

2. Always doubting God’s abilities and His promises.

3. Impatient

e. So, they end up turning around and going back to the old life!

a. Idolatry

b. Worship of pleasures

c. Fashion fanatics

Page 13: Apply and Never Be the Samestorage.googleapis.com/wzukusers/user...May 10, 2017  · Genesis. 2:7-8 - Then the Lord God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils

What God Expects from Us

4. God wants us to get off the fence: Are you in the middle, not where God wants you to

be (between Egypt and the Promised Land).

a. Move toward being truly Born again, the Bible way.

b. Get off the sidelines on the bench.

c. Backslid because you are not holding up your commitment to God.

1. Not coming to Sunday Worship

2. No prayer life (should be daily)

3. Not reading God’s Word (should be daily)

4. Witnessing (telling the good news about Jesus and what He has done in your life.

d. Get focused on your target - GOD:

1. Not just on heaven but the Promised Land – the kind of life that God has for

every Christian – the life of victory over the sins that smother us (Read John

10:10).

5. Stop putting Worldly things before God:

1. Sports fanatics – nothing wrong with sports, but people are only willing to be

dedicated to it, and not to God!

2. Party Animal – drink and party unbelievable amounts, and act like it doesn’t faze

them.

3. Technology Nuts – eats, sleeps, lives inside your laptop, tablet, smart phone,

internet, social media and games.

4. Fishing & Hunting fanatics – believe when fishing and hunting season coming

in, everything else stops.

5. Couch potatoes – just totally addicted to the TV (soaps, reality TV, movies,

sports, etc.).

6. Music – can’t think without a radio, CDs, etc. blaring in their ears all the time.

7. Family only: your wife (Men), your husband (Women) and children - expects

you to be all go for their needs.

8. Work-a-holic: always working and trying to make more money.

9. Things: Cars, Houses, Money, Vacations, etc.

Remember this: It is not by accident that everything is vying for our commitment – it is so that we

have little or no energy, nor time for our own, personal relationship with GOD!

Conclusion:

A. Go all out for God, Abide with HIM in fellowship, prayer and worship!

B. Never take God for Granted.

C. Repent of our Worldliness.

D. Stand with Christ – separate from the world and even religion.

The Word Is True

The power in your life starts with your mouth and prayer. I did not understand that until I started

studying God's Word and He said in Matthew 21:22 “And whatever things you ask in prayer,

believing, you will receive”.

It all begins by transforming your mind into the image of God which is the Word because the Word

is God. John 1:1 – In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was

God.

I am a “Winner”, I am “Successful”, I am “Blessed”, I am "Wealthy", I am “Healed”, I have “Peace”, I

have “Joy”, I have “Deliverance” by faith and God slowly began renewing your mind and training

you to think higher thoughts and giving you ideas to create and generate a better life here on earth.

"EVERYONE" has this potential if only they truly BELIEVE!!!!! He says He gives us that power for if

He says this so it's got to be true for He took an oath upon Himself and said it is impossible for Him

to lie.

Numbers 23:19 - "God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent; Has

He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?”

So, if God can’t lie then He is the following:

▪ My Helper: Psalm 54:4 – “Behold, God is my helper; The Lord is with those who uphold my

life”.

▪ My Light, Salvation & Strength: Psalm 27:1 – “The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom

shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my Life; of Whom shall I be afraid”?

▪ My Guiding Light: Psalm 119:105 – “Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path”.

▪ My Road Map: Proverbs 3:6 – “In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your

paths”.

▪ My Rewarder:

o Hebrews 11:6 – “But without Faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes

to God must believe that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him”.

Remember: You build your relationship with God by reading His Word and continue earnestly in

prayer. This increases your “Faith”, allows you to understand “The Word is True” and “Trust” God

is going to do what Him Word said.

No Doubt or Fear

Many say that they have true Faith but are weak in it. When the great pressure of life comes upon

us it creates great storms of doubt and fear in us even when God’s Word said:

Joshua 1:9 - Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage, do not be afraid, nor

dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.

John 10:9-21 - I am the door; if anyone enters through Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out

and find pasture. v10 “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have

life, and have it abundantly. v11“I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down His life for

the sheep. v12 “He who is a hired hand, and not a shepherd, who is not the owner of the sheep, sees

the wolf coming, and leaves the sheep and flees, and the wolf snatches them and scatters them. v13

“He flees because he is a hired hand and is not concerned about the sheep. v14 “I am the good

shepherd, and I know My own and My own know Me, v15 even as the Father knows Me and I know

the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep. v16“ I have other sheep, which are not of this fold;

I must bring them also, and they will hear My voice; and they will become one flock with one

shepherd. v17 “For this reason the Father loves Me, because I lay down My life so that I may take it

again. v18 “No one has taken it away from Me, but I lay it down on My own initiative. I have

authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again. This commandment I received

from My Father.” v19 A division occurred again among the Jews because of these words. v20 Many

of them were saying, “He has a demon and is insane. Why do you listen to Him?” v21 Others were

saying, “These are not the sayings of one demon-possessed. A demon cannot open the eyes of the

blind, can he?”

God said above, he is with you wherever you go plus lay down His Life for you. Only if you enter

through Him. Acts 2:28 Peter said to them, “Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus

Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. v39 “For the

promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off, as many as the Lord our God will

call to Himself.”

Why is there Doubt & Fear?

1. All of us experience doubt to one degree or another. Ever since Adam and Eve in the Garden of

Eden, the evil one has planted doubts in our heads as to the goodness and trustworthiness of

God (Genesis 3:1-5).

2. Even those who directly saw the resurrected Christ, doubted. Matthew 28:17 - “When they saw

him, they worshipped him; but some doubted”.

3. Little Faith:

a. Matthew 6:25-30 (Do not Worry).

b. Matthew 8:25-27 (Wind and Waves when they were on the boat)

c. Matthew 14:31 (Peter walking on the walk)

d. Romans 4:20 (The Promise Granted through Faith)

Page 18: Apply and Never Be the Samestorage.googleapis.com/wzukusers/user...May 10, 2017  · Genesis. 2:7-8 - Then the Lord God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils

No Doubt or Fear

e. Fear and doubt are the states of consciousness that prevent us from receiving our good.

The complete antidote for fear is faith and trust and that is the dominant thought that

you need to create in your mind. You are playing out old thought patterns. You know

how to manifest, so now apply your knowledge to manifest the dominant thoughts of

faith and trust in your subconscious mind. Instill those words in the subconscious to

overcome the old patterns.

Does that mean I am not a Christian or saved?

1. Doubt is not unbelief. Doubt is a state of mind in suspension between faith and unbelief. Due to

the ongoing presence and power of sin in the Christian life, which is a reality until the day we

die or the Lord returns, none of us will have perfect, 100% trusting faith. Doubt will continue to

be constant struggle. It is a part of our fallen nature that does not trust God with all our being.

But having doubts does not mean we are not Christian.

2. The opposite of faith is unbelief, not doubt. Doubt does not necessarily or automatically mean

the absence of faith. What destroys faith is the disobedience that hardens into unbelief.

3. Yet doubt will lead to unbelief if it is not properly feed by the Word.

How do we reduce Doubt or Fear?

1. There are two errors we must avoid when it comes to doubt.

a. The first is to be too soft on doubt. That is to think that doubt doesn’t matter, making it

a trivial matter. This does not seem to be your problem. The fact that you are taking

your doubt seriously indicates that you take your faith seriously. To overcome doubt

(which will not be 100% possible in this lifetime) we must pray and cry out to God to

help our doubt, go back to the bible and search for the answers to our doubt and to ask

him to strengthen our faith in His Word. God is the one who gives us faith.

b. The second error is to be too hard on doubt. The claim that “a true believer never doubts”

is false. To insist that only doubt-free faith can be counted as genuine-faith is to

misunderstand sin.

2. Trusting Jesus (God’s Word), knowing in your heart and spirit that the storm end in a wonderful

calm which encourages confidence and comfort in “HIM”.

a. Deuteronomy 31:6 - Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of

them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.

b. John 14:27 - Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world

gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

c. Mark 5:36 – As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, He said to the ruler of the

synagogue, do not be afraid; only believe.

d. Luke 1:37 – For with God nothing will be impossible.

The Power of Prayer

The power of prayer should not be underestimated. God most definitely listens to prayers, answers

prayers, and moves in response to prayers.

▪ James 5:16-18: The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. Elijah was a man just

like us. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three

and a half years. Again, he prayed and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its

crops.".

▪ Psalm 107:28-30: Then they cry out to the LORD in their trouble, And He brings them out of

their distresses. (v29) He calms the storm, so that its waves are still. (v30) Then they are glad

because they are quiet; so, He guides them to their desired haven.

▪ James 5:13 - Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing

songs of praise.

▪ James 4:2 – You have not, because You ask not.

THINGS THAT HINDER PRAYER - We cannot access powerful prayer by using "magic formulas."

Our prayers being answered is not based on the eloquence of our prayers. We don't have to use

certain words or phrases to get God to answer our prayers. In fact, Jesus rebukes those who pray

using repetitions.

▪ 2 Chronicles 7:14 – if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and

pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I

will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

▪ Matthew 6:7 - And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they

think that they will be heard for their many words.

▪ Proverbs 21:13 – Whoever shuts his ears to the cry the poor, will also cry himself and not be

heard.

▪ Proverbs 28:9 – One who turns away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer is an

abomination.

▪ Isaiah 59:2 – But your iniquities have separated you from your God and your sins have hidden

His face from you, so that He will not hear.

▪ Ezekiel 14:3 – Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their hearts and put before

them that which causes them to stumble into iniquity. Should I let Myself be inquired of at

all by them?

Note: Iniquity - the quality of being unfair or evil (wickedness, sinfulness, immorality,

impropriety, vice, evil, sin, villainy, criminality).

▪ Malachi 3:7-10 - Yet from the days of your fathers, you have gone away from My ordinances

and have not kept them. Return to Me, and I will return to you, Says the LORD of hosts. But

you said, in what way shall we return? (v8) Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me!

But you say, in what way have we robbed You?’ In tithes and offerings. (v9) You are cursed

with a curse, for you have robbed Me, even this whole nation. (10) Bring all the tithes into

the storehouse, that there may be food in My house and try Me now in this, Says the LORD

The Power of Prayer

of hosts. If I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing

that there will not be room enough to receive it.

▪ Matthew 5:23-24 – Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that

your brother has something against you, (v24) leave your gift there before the altar, and go

your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.

▪ Mark 11:25 - And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive

him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.

▪ James 1:5-8 - If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and

without reproach, and it will be given to him. (v6) But let him ask in faith, with no doubting,

for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. (v7) For let not

that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; (v8) he is a double-minded

man, unstable in all his ways.

▪ James 4:3 - You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your

pleasures.

Note: Amiss - not quite right; inappropriate or out of place.

▪ 1 John 3:21-22 - Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God.

(v22) And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and

do those things that are pleasing in His sight.

▪ Things that Hindering Your Prayer:

o A wrong relationship with God

o A wrong relationship with others

o A proud spirit

o Lack of Christian love

o Unclean lips

o A bad conscience

If we allow ourselves to become spiritually slack and careless we shall find that prayer is hindered,

our desire for prayer will go and our estimate of prayer will change completely. If we give up reading

the Bible we shall find prayer is hindered, for the reading of God’s Word stimulates and encourages

prayer. Overwork will crowd out prayer. It is possible to be so busy for God that there is little or no

time left for prayer. We need to beware of the barrenness of a busy life. A worldly spirit hinders

prayer.

Where you should Pray:

▪ Matthew 6:5-7 - And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray

standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men.

Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. (v6) But you, when you pray, go into your room,

and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your

Father who sees in secret will reward you openly. (v7) And when you pray, do not use vain

repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words.

▪ God want use to go into our closet, secret place and prayer.

The Power of Prayer

▪ Pray from the heart and not a systematic prayer.

o Merciful God, I offer prayers for those who are wanting. Those with broken hearts and

broken lives. Bless them with healing. Change their circumstances. Cause peace and

prosperity to come to them in abundance. I, who have plenty, pray that I may share the

richness of my soul, even as I share my resources. “AMEN”

o Dear God, my life is a mess and I don't want to live this way anymore. Give me the

grace to overcome my sloppy habits. Help me by showing me the strength I already

have is all I need to change. “AMEN”

Believing what you ask, you will receive. The power of prayer is not the result of the person praying.

The power resides in God who is being prayed to.

▪ 1 John 5:14 - Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything

according to His will, He hears us.

▪ 1 John 5:15 – And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the

petitions that we have asked of Him.

▪ Matthew 21:22 – and whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.

Gratitude and Thanks - being grateful for what you don’t yet see.

▪ Colossians 4:2 - Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving.

▪ 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 - Rejoice always, (v17) pray without ceasing, (v18) in everything

give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

▪ Philippians 4:6 - Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with

thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;

Note: The prayer of supplication is generally a request for the person praying.

Mental & Spiritual Laws for Continuous Blessings

#1: GOD controls the Universe.

▪ Revelation 1:8 - I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which

is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

#2: Laws of Life under the Universe:

▪ Mental - For as he thinks in his heart, so is he (Proverbs 23:7). ▪ Spiritual – Faith (Hebrews 11:1 – Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence

of things not seen), you will create and attract based on your core belief.

▪ Physical - scientific aspect (are typically conclusions based on repeated scientific experiments

and observations over many years).

#3: Source vs. Resource:

▪ The Source – GOD is the source of your supply. 1 Corinthians 8:6 - yet for us there is but one

God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one

Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live.

▪ The Resources - Your business is not your source of income. Your business, job, customers,

clients, investments - none of these are your source of income. All those avenues are

Resources for your needs and desires.

Note-1: From above, you should have a full understanding who (GOD) controls everything, the Laws

of Life and the Source (GOD) of your supplies.

#4: How do we get striking results from GOD?

▪ The single most immediate thing is to Change Your Words so they create dominant thought.

Proverbs 18:21 - Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its

fruit.

▪ Change the words that you speak to reflect those spoken by a successful person...words that

represent what you want in life. Eliminate any words or phrases from your vocabulary that

represent the opposite of what you want.

▪ If you don't want it, don't say it!

▪ You can begin this right now, this very moment. Changing your thoughts usually cannot be done

as quickly or as easily, but by changing your words, you will be well on your way to changing

those undesirable thought patterns and changing your life and finances.

▪ Your Words Have Tremendous Power (Believe IT). Do not doubt this for a moment.

o Examples:

▪ I am a “Winner”.

▪ I am “Successful”.

▪ I am “Blessed” and “Highly Favored by God & Man”.

▪ I am "Wealthy" and “have plenty of financial resources”.

▪ I am “Healed”, have “Great Health” and “Long Life”.

▪ I have “Peace” and “Joy”.

▪ I have an “Enormous” bank account and investments.

Page 26: Apply and Never Be the Samestorage.googleapis.com/wzukusers/user...May 10, 2017  · Genesis. 2:7-8 - Then the Lord God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils

Mental & Spiritual Laws for Continuous Blessings

▪ You must speak these “Words” every day until they change you Mental State (Mental Law). You

must "tilled the soil" of the mind first. Once the subconscious soil is tilled, it will accept the seeds

that you plant.

▪ I hope by now everyone has gained an understanding about how our mind works and the steps

we can take to shift our subconscious belief from one of lack to one of abundance.

▪ It really comes down to overcoming the negative thought in the mind by impregnating

(planting seeds of positive thoughts) the subconscious with a new core belief which will

increase your Faith and trust in GOD.

o Matthew 21:22 – and whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.

Visualize from within that “It” is already Mine:

▪ Here is the difference. Let’s use “Yourself” as an example with a desire.

1. You want a new house.

2. You can picture the house you want.

3. You get pictures of the house you like (design, style, etc.), study the detail and commit

the image to memory.

4. Now you may see houses all over the place like the one you want.

5. But will your mind subconsciously accept that this house is yours?

▪ OR

1. You play the role that you live in that house.

2. You see yourself driving up the driveway.

3. You see yourself putting new furniture in that house.

4. You feel the joy of your family and friends there having fun.

5. You feel yourself in the kitchen cooking.

6. You can close your eyes and feel yourself in that house.

7. Now, you have just created the satisfaction that you own that house and it is on its way.

8. That is visualizing (Faith) the unseen. You now walking and talking as you are there from

the inside out. You just create you blessing.

▪ Hebrews 11:1-3 - Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things

not seen. (v2) For by it the elders obtained a good testimony. (v3) By faith we understand

that the worlds were framed by the Word of God, so that the things which are seen were

not made of things which are visible.

Using the Powerful Principle of Gratitude as the Magnet:

▪ Gratitude is being Thankful (expression of thanks or well pleased).

▪ The attitude of gratitude is one of the greatest (perhaps “The Greatest) spiritual principle that

can be applied to attain happiness, peace, health and financial prosperity.

▪ It is easy to be grateful for what you already have but can you be grateful for what you don’t yet

see?

o Colossians 4:2 - Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving.

Page 27: Apply and Never Be the Samestorage.googleapis.com/wzukusers/user...May 10, 2017  · Genesis. 2:7-8 - Then the Lord God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils

Mental & Spiritual Laws for Continuous Blessings

▪ Simplest Gratitude Prayer - If the only prayer you say in your life is "Thank You Lord,"

that would suffice.

➢ Thank You, Lord!

➢ Thank You, Lord for Wealth and Success.

➢ Thank You, Lord for my successful new business.

➢ Thank You, Lord for plenty of money in my bank account.

➢ Thank You, Lord for plenty of new customers.

➢ Thank You, Lord for my dream career.

➢ Thank You, Lord for my new house.

➢ Thank You, Lord for my new car.

➢ Thank You, Lord for great health and long life.

➢ Thank You, Lord for plenty, that I may share the richness of my soul, even as I

share my resources.

The Solution to Every Problem:

The first thing to do to solve any problem is to become still and quiet about it. Be open for guidance.

But most of all do not give the problem energy.

▪ Psalm 46:10 - Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be

exalted in the earth!

▪ Give all thought to the solution. There is ONLY one solution here, all is well.

At this point, go about your business and just act like everything is normal (all is resolved).

Everything is harmonized. In fact, for those of you who really believe in "stepping out in faith"; get

to work in your daily life just as you would do if everything were normal.

Remember, when you focus on something that you don’t want and

trying to push it away it instead gets closer to you because you get

what you give your attention to whether it is something that you

want or not.

Money & Giving

Religion has instilled in our minds that you should not be wealthy and money is the root of all evil.

So, we misquote the scripture and in our mind, believe that and it keeps us from financial blessings

that God has for us. The actual verse in the Bible (I Timothy 6:10) say – “For the love of money is the

root of all evil”. This means we are not to “Worship” money as our God.

God, want you to have money, a beautiful house, a nice car, plenty of food and good land.

Study Deuteronomy 8:1-20:

1. God, want you to be humble not poor (Deut. 8:2, 3 & 16).

2. God, want you to keep His commandments (Deut. 8:1, 2, 6 & 11).

3. God, want you to walk in His ways and fear Him (Deut. 8:6).

4. God, want you to have good land (Deut. 8:7-8).

5. God, want you to have plenty of food (Deut. 8:8-10).

6. God, want you to have a beautiful house (Deut. 8:12).

7. God, want you to have plenty of money and increase it (Deut. 8:13).

8. God, want you to bless Him (Deut. 8:10).

9. God, don’t want you to forget Him (Deut. 8:11, 14 & 17).

10. God, want you to remember who gave you the power to get wealth (Deut. 8:18).

Note: God want you to remember and acknowledge that He is the true source of your wealth.

Below are Biblical Scriptures that offer the proper perspective and assure you of your birthright to

prosper.

▪ Deuteronomy 8:18 – And you shall remember the Lord you God, for it is He who gives you

power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as

it is this day.

▪ Joshua 1:8 – This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate

in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then

you will make your way prosperous and then you will have good success.

▪ Mark 11:22-24 – So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God”. (v23) For assuredly,

I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, be removed and be cast into the sea and does not

doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever

he says. (v24) Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that

you receive them and you will have them.

▪ Matthew 21:22 – and whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.

Note: We have been taught throughout our lifetime and instilled in our minds lies about money

and prosperity.

Really think about how much money you ask God for because many of us think having millions of

dollars will make you happy. Remember, wealth serves two primary purpose; “Freedom and the

ability to help others”.

Money & Giving

Generosity from the Heart – God want us to give from the Heart and not out of necessity. Religion

has instilled in our minds that you should give 10 percent but God may tell you to give more or less

according to your heart.

▪ 2 Corinthians 8:12 – (KJV) For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a

man hath, and not according to that he hath not. (ESV) For if the readiness is there, it is

acceptable according to what a person has, not according to what he does not have.

▪ 2 Corinthians 9:7 – (KJV) Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not

grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. (ESV) Each one must give as he has

decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

▪ 2 Corinthians 9:10 – (KJV) Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for

your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness. (ESV) He

who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing

and increase the harvest of your righteousness.

▪ Luke 6:38 – (KJV) Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken

together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye

mete withal it shall be measured to you again. (ESV) Give, and it will be given to you. Good

measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the

measure you use it will be measured back to you.

▪ Luke 6:30 – (KJV) Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods

ask them not again. (ESV) Give to everyone who begs from you, and from one who takes away

your goods do not demand them back.

▪ Luke 11:13 – (KJV) If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how

much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him? (ESV) If ye

then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your

heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

▪ Proverbs 11:25 - (KJV) The liberal soul shall be made fat; and he that watereth shall be watered

also himself. (ESV) Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who waters will himself

be watered.

▪ Matthew 6:1-4 – (NKJV) Take heed that you do not your charitable deeds before men, to be seen

by them. Otherwise you have no reward of your Father in heaven. (v2) Therefore when you do

a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and

in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward.

(v3) But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what you right hand is

doing. (v4) That your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will

Himself reward you openly.

Money & Giving

(ESV) Beware of practicing your righteousness before other people to be seen by them, for then

you will have no reward from your Father who is in heaven. (v2) “Thus, when you give to the

needy, sound no trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets,

that they may be praised by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. (v3) But

when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, (v4)

so that your giving may be in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.

Last, seek Godly counsel.

▪ Psalm 1:1 declares, "Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly."

▪ A person needing financial advice should not go to someone who makes his living selling the

very thing he's contemplating buying.

▪ Proverbs 15:22 "Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of

counsellors they are established".

The Key

The “KEY” to living an abundance life is “Faith”. Faith is a principle of action and power. Whenever

we work toward a worthy goal, we exercise faith. We show our hope for something that we cannot

yet see. Faith means looking over the fence and seeing more than what is in your yard because the

fence blocks your view of what God has for you.

Romans 4:20 - He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in

faith, giving glory to God.

Hebrews 11:6 – But without “FAITH” it is impossible to please “HIM”, for he who comes to “GOD”

must believe that “HE” is and that “HE” is a rewarder of those who diligently seek “HIM”.

Most people faith is almost exclusively what they see and God does not respond to your current state

but to your faith (unseen state). You spend your entire life talking about how it looks right now.

Faith is not right now but “Visualizing” where you want to go, what you want to have and how you

want to feel.

How do I get there? #1: By hear encouraging and positive words.

▪ Romans 10:17 – So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.

o Blessed

o Successful

o Well

o Great

o Lovely

o Excited

o Wonderful

o Wealthy

▪ Proverbs 18:21 - Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its

fruit.

o Positive see the possibilities.

o Negative see the problem.

o You must speak what you want your life to be, say it is done and GOD will manifest your

words into physical things.

o The way you feel is your point of attraction.

o You become what your powerful words say.

Page 34: Apply and Never Be the Samestorage.googleapis.com/wzukusers/user...May 10, 2017  · Genesis. 2:7-8 - Then the Lord God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils

By: Edwin I. Moore, Elder Page | 34 Date: May 10, 2017

The Key

#2: By changing your thinking, you change your beliefs.

▪ Romans 12:2 – And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of

your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

o Everything is manifested in your life by FAITH.

▪ Hebrews 11:3 – By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that

the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.

▪ Hebrews 11:4 – By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which

he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts; and through it he being

dead still speaks.

▪ Hebrews 11:5 – By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, “and was not found,

because God had taken him”; for before he was taken he had this testimony, that he pleased God.

▪ Luke 8:43-48 – (v43) How a woman, having a flow of blood for twelve years, who had spent all

her livelihood on physicians and could not be healed by any, (v44) came from behind and

touched the border of His garment. And immediately her flow of blood stopped. (v45) And Jesus

said, “Who touched Me?” When all denied it, Peter and those with him said, “Master, the

multitudes throng and press You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’”(v46) But Jesus said,

“Somebody touched Me, for I perceived power going out from Me.” (v47) Now when the woman

saw that she was not hidden, she came trembling; and falling down before Him, she declared to

Him in the presence of all the people the reason she had touched Him and how she was healed

immediately. (v48) And He said to her, “Daughter, be of good cheer; your faith has made you

well. Go in peace.”

▪ Proverbs 23:7 - For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. o You must think, you are blessed, healed, successful and wealthy.

o When you find, yourself struggling for a positive scenario in your life, you must change

the subject in your own mind at that moment and remember a powerful scripture.

#3: By changing your beliefs, you change your expectations.

▪ 1 Timothy 4:8 – For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having

promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come.

o You have expectations to go to heaven (unseen) but no expectations on earth, this can’t

coexist.

▪ 3 John 1:2 – That you may prosper in all things and be in good health just as your soul prospers.

o God expectations for you are to prosper Spiritually, Physically & Financially.

▪ Read Deuteronomy 8:7-13 – you should have expectation to have land, a nice home, a nice car,

plenty of money in the bank, great health, a great career or business, a wonderful husband or

wife, a wonderful family and friends.

your conscious or subconscious that is negative, stop it and speak phases like below.

▪ I accept prosperity as my divine right.

▪ My heart is open to receive all the blessings that are my divine rights.

▪ My heart is open to receive my idea career opportunity.

▪ My heart is open to receive my idea job.

▪ My heart is open to receive an enormous bank account.

▪ My heart is open to receive peace, joy and happiness in my life.

▪ I am here to receive the money that is rightfully mine.

#4: Thing to do or say when certain situations come into your life.

▪ Bill collector call: Don’t say I can’t pay. Say, I am waiting for money to arrive, please give me

an extension.

▪ Donation: Don’t say I’m sorry, I would like to but I do not have any money. Say, if you would

please call me in the future then I would love to contribute.

▪ There is something you want to buy: Don’t say I can’t afford that. Say, I deserve to have that

and I am waiting for my money to arrive soon to purchase it.

▪ Pain or Sickness in your body: Don’t tell everyone that it hurt. Say, I feel great and was healed

by His Stripes.

▪ When you write a check, or pay a bill: Many times, we are sad to let the money go or our

account balance is getting low so we feel there is not enough money. Say, thank you Lord for

plenty of money to pay this bill with a smile (if you are writing a check, put a smiley face on

the check) or (if paying online/electronically, put a smiley face on the record keeping register).

Every time you receive a check or electron deposit into your account, write a smiley face or

heart in your record keeping register. This means you thank God for plenty.

Mark 11:23 - For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast

into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done,

he will have whatever he says.
