Example 1: Making reports on results of research projects The multinational standard GOST 7.32-91 (ISO 5966-82) “System of standards on information, librarianshi p and publishing. The research report. Structure and rules of presentation” was running before 2001. This standard was authentic to ISO 5966:1982 “System of standards on information, librarianship and publishing. The research report. Structure and rules of presentation “. ISO 5966:1982 is cancelled and the ISO didn’t make renewal for it. Today the multinational standard GOST 7.32-2001 runs in Russia and it is similar to GOST 7.32-91 (ISO 5966-82).

Example 2: Performance of patent research and registration of its results

The multinational standard стандарт GOST R 15.011-96 ”System of products development and launching into manufacture. Patent investigations. Procedure and scope” has been running since 1996 till now . We don’t have information about development of this similar ISO standard.

The main conclusion of application of ISO standards in the practice work of scientific sector

Since subjects and research methods, standard samples and solutions, measures and standards of unit, principles of physics and chemical reactions are universal, and moreover the methodologies of analytical works and research studies are based on them, then it is most likely to solve the problem by wide introduction in Russia of international ISO standards for analytical work and tests and also by introduction of international verification procedures of the metrological characteristics of SI and the creation of mutual recognition procedures for testing of measuring means in producer country.
