ACADEMIC DIVISION& PROGRAMMES
NEW PROGRAMMES
B.Sc. NursingThe programme is designed to inculcate in the student nurse skillsets to care for individual clients, family, group, or community as unique persons with peculiar needs. We believe in nursing our clients with the fear of God with the highest integrity, irrespective of colour, belief, race or social status. The programme places emphasis on life promotion or otherwise life preservation, restoration and rehabilitation; physically, socially, mentally and spiritually.
B.Sc. Quantity Surveying & Construction EconomicsThe programme is designed to expose students to an understanding of the theory, concepts and methods pertaining to the construction industry in general and the fields of quantity surveying and construction economics in particular. They will gain detailed knowledge and understanding of the framework within which the construction industry operates, namely the technical, economic, legal, financial and administrative framework.
B.Sc. Construction Technology & Engineering ManagementThe course provides a firm foundation for future construction managers, providing them with the knowledge and skills in technology, management, processes and commerce relevant to the 21st century construction industry. Teaching is by a combination of lectures and tutorials, with associated field trips and site visits.
TUTORIAL & MENTORING SYSTEMEach Pentecost University student is assigned to a tutor, senior member or specially trained senior student who works under a senior member. The Mentor serves as an advisor to the student on matters such as the student’s academic, spiritual and social life.
COLLEGE ASSEMBLYOur College Assembly is a gathering of the University Community on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:20 am to 1:00pm for the Regular School and on Fridays from 5:00pm to 6:00pm for Evening and Weekend School. College Assembly aims at inspiring and empowering the PentVars Community through a variety of programmes. These include a platform for prominent people to share on various topics.
PENTECOST UNIVERSITY STUDIES (PENTSTUDS) Leadership and Character DevelopmentThe program aims at providing every student of the College with an opportunity to understand Biblical Christianity; challenges to the Christian faith in the modern African Context; Biblical or Christian Ethics; effective management of oneself; and servant leadership in contemporary society.
OUR UNIQUENESSSince its inception, the Pentecost University College (PUC) has strived to provide quality academic education spiced with unique programmes that develop students' social and spiritual well-being and leadership skills.
The past year (2016) marked the beginning of another decade in the life of the University College; as it
thcelebrated its 10 Anniversary in 2015. For this decade PUC has repositioned itself to become a model Christian University in the sub-region and beyond.
It is our vision to be a distinguished research oriented Christian University known for excellence in science and technology education and scholarship. To achieve this, PUC will invest in technology to support teaching, learning, research and administration.
PUC seeks to brand its 'Name' to become a household name noted as a University of excellence and of choice.
In carving a niche for itself, PUC is in the process of introducing a Diploma in Theology for all students. It is hoped that students who attend PUC would earn a
Diploma certificate in addition to their respective degrees, by the end of their studies.
Extra curricula activities are also promoted at PUC. One of such programmes is our collaboration with Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) where interested students obtain driving lessons leading to the acquisition of a driver's license by the time of completing school.
I wish to take this opportunity to recommend PUC to all who are seeking tertiary education for themselves or their wards not to look beyond PUC. PUC provides her students with an invigorating Christian spiritual learning environment, English proficiency course for non-English speaking students, scholarship opportunities, flexible terms of fee payment for local and international students, and a friendly and peaceful environment.
