EMBASSY OF INDIA, KATHMANDU APPLICATION FOR UNDERGRADUATE PROFESSIONAL COURSE (MBBS/BDS) UNDER SELF FINANCE SCHEMES: 2018 (Last date of Receipt of Application at Embassy of India, Kathmandu- June 15, 2018) NOTICE Applications are invited from Nepali students for nominations to undergraduate courses in MBBS/BDS under Self-Financing Scheme for the academic year 2018-19 against seats to be granted by Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. Foreign student can also apply for nomination pending final declaration of their qualifying examination results equivalent class 10+2 standard of CBSE. Nomination of such candidates will, however, depend upon their being eligible on the basis of merit. 2. Complete applications in all respects and duly supported by the following documents in 4 copies (with authentic English translations, wherever required) of only those candidates who possess the minimum qualifications as given below and are willing to join the above courses: i) Four copies of candidate’s recent photographs pasted at prescribed places in the application; ii) Four attested copies of candidate’s certificates and marks sheets with percentage of marks of the qualifying examination i.e 10+2 (A certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi that the candidate’s qualifying examination is equivalent to 10+2 standard of CBSE in India for the purpose of admission to the above courses is required at the time of selection. The website of Association of Indian Universities (http://www.aiuweb.org/Evaluation/evaluation.asp) may be consulted in this regard. iii) Four attested copies of candidate’s: a) Citizenship certificate and its translation in English; b) Birth certificate and its translation in English; c) Character certificate from the Head of Institution last attended; d) Conversion of marks in percentage (%) from Head of Institution last attended in the attached format. If percentages of marks are not indicated, applications will be rejected. e) NEET score sheet. 3. Eligibility criteria for various courses: (a) A candidate must have secured a minimum of 50% aggregate marks with at least 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology) separately and 50% in English in the qualifying examination (equivalent to 10+2 standard of CBSE in India - equivalence certificate from AIU, New Delhi as requested in para 2(ii) above is required at the time of selection). (b) NEET- It shall be necessary for a candidate to obtain minimum of marks at 50 th percentile in NEET. ( c) Due to the requirement of NEET score , MBBS/BDS seats ( Self Finance) are no longer included in the COMPEX Schemes entrance exams. 5. The applicants are advised that merely forwarding their applications should not be treated as assurance for their nomination by the Ministry. APPLICATION FOR UNDERGRADUATE PROFESSIONAL COURSE

NOTICE

Applications are invited from Nepali students for nominations to undergraduate courses in

MBBS/BDS under Self-Financing Scheme for the academic year 2018-19 against seats to be granted by

Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. Foreign student can also apply for nomination pending final

declaration of their qualifying examination results equivalent class 10+2 standard of CBSE. Nomination of

such candidates will, however, depend upon their being eligible on the basis of merit.

2. Complete applications in all respects and duly supported by the following documents in 4 copies

(with authentic English translations, wherever required) of only those candidates who possess the minimum

qualifications as given below and are willing to join the above courses:

i) Four copies of candidate’s recent photographs pasted at prescribed places in the application;

ii) Four attested copies of candidate’s certificates and marks sheets with percentage of marks of the

qualifying examination i.e 10+2 (A certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New

Delhi that the candidate’s qualifying examination is equivalent to 10+2 standard of CBSE in India for

the purpose of admission to the above courses is required at the time of selection. The website of

consulted in this regard.

iii) Four attested copies of candidate’s:

3. Eligibility criteria for various courses:

(a) A candidate must have secured a minimum of 50% aggregate marks with at least 50% in Physics,

Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology) separately and 50% in English in the qualifying examination

(equivalent to 10+2 standard of CBSE in India - equivalence certificate from AIU, New Delhi as

( c) Due to the requirement of NEET score , MBBS/BDS seats ( Self Finance) are no longer included in

the COMPEX Schemes entrance exams.

5. The applicants are advised that merely forwarding their applications should not be treated as assurance for

their nomination by the Ministry. The Ministry will scrutinize all the applications and only after these are

found complete in all respects, the names of the eligible applicants will be considered for nomination in the

order of merit and preference for the course.

6. Selected candidates are expected to comply with admission formalities and procedures of the respective

colleges/universities. These may include specific medical examinations including Aids test in India.

7. The lists of colleges for MBBS/BDS courses are enclosed at Annexure-I along with application form.

The seats are generally allocated in these Colleges / Institutes but may vary depending on final

allocation by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and Ministry of Human Resource

Development respectively.

8. It may please be noted that above seats are on self-finance basis and Ministry of External Affairs, India

does not provide any financial aid/scholarships to foreign students selected under above Scheme.

9. Last date for receipt of complete applications (in the prescribed Performa) at EOI,

Kathmandu is 15th June, 2018.

Note:

The Association of Indian Universities does not recognize the “Physical Science” equivalent to

Physics & Chemistry. Such candidates may furnish separate marks for Physics & Chemistry failing which

their applications should not be accepted.
