Required submittals:

• Application (filled out completely) • Unofficial Transcript(s) showing all college work • Resume (two pages maximum) • One to two page personal essay describing professional goals and objectives and any

additional information that may be pertinent to the application • Two letters of recommendation. One must be from a Faculty Member in the applicant's

department. The other must be from a fellow student or colleague familiar with your personal characteristics. Recommenders should be informed that information on grades, experience, etc., is already part of the application. Recommendation letters may expand on the information in the application and should elaborate on personal knowledge of the candidate and his/her qualities, especially as they may relate to scholarship, character, practicality, and sociability.

If the person(s) writing the letter of recommendation does not want the applicant to see the letter(s) of recommendation, the letter(s) should be forwarded to the FA so that he/she can attach the letter(s) to the PDF package for the applicant.

NOTE: The complete scholarship application package must be converted to a single PDF file and submitted to the Faculty Advisor by October 15, 2014.

2. Undergraduate students who are enrolled at the time of application and who will be enrolled in the spring of the academic yearas an undergraduate are eligible to apply for an undergraduate scholarship. Initiates who will be members at the time of receivinga scholarship are eligible to apply. A student may apply multiple times, but may only receive a scholarship, either National or District level, once.

3. Undergraduate students and graduate students who are enrolled at the time of the application and will be enrolled as graduatestudents in the spring of the academic year are not eligible to apply for this undergraduate scholarship.

b. One of ten Chi Epsilon District Scholarships ($2,000)

6. Applicants will be judged on the following criteria: • GPA, 20 points maximum • Personal essay, 1-2 pages, 20 points maximum • Letters of recommendation, 2 required, 20 points maximum • Work / Research experience, 15 points maximum • Offices held, 10 points maximum • Outside Activities, 10 points maximum • Honors, 5 points maximum

7. Scholarship applications and supporting documentation must be submitted in a single digital PDF file. If this is not done, the application will not be forwarded to the District Councillor for further consideration.

8. All winners will be required to submit a high resolution (at least 1 Mb in size) portrait-style photo (head and shoulders against aneutral background and with professional attire) in JPEG or TIFF format within 30 days of being notified of winning by the District Councillor.

9. Scholarship winners will be announced in the spring of 2015. Scholarship awards will be presented to those winners attending the Conclave. All others will be mailed to the recipients.

1. Scholarship applications will be accepted in PDF format only, and must be sent to the Faculty Advisor by October 15, 2014.
