• In  November  and  December  2014  Ballou  PR  was  engaged  to  raise  awareness  of  App  Annie’s  &  

Kantar   Retail’s   retail   and   app   economy   report   in   the   trade,   tech   and   marketing   media   in  

Germany  and  France.  

• In   a   first   step  Ballou  PR   identified   the   top   tier  media  markets  within   the  German  and  French  

market.   After   that   Ballou   PR   aggregated   the   aspects   relevant   for   these   journalists   from   the  

original  report  and  drafted  a  press  release  for  each  market  from  that  together  with  pro-­‐active  

advice  on  how  to  boost  the  visibility  of  the  report  e.g.  by  providing  a  top  5  app  ranking.  Ballou  

PR  secured  top  tier  coverage  by  pre-­‐pitching  the  news  under  embargo.  

• Within   the   3  week  project   time  Ballou   PR   secured  8  pieces   of   coverage   in  Germany   (1   print  

magazine,  5  websites  /  3  newsletters)    and  18  pieces  of  coverage  in  France  (1  print  magazine,  

15  websites  /  2  newsletters).
