At times frightening, always exhilarating, it is that place where you are in sync with God and His purposes for your life, that place that turns the routine and mundane into the eternal.
We will discover the R12 Christian.
Romans 12 provides a picture of how an authentic disciple of Jesus Christ lives out their faith.

Prayer Shawl Ministry
Prayer Shawl Ministry didn't meet in December, but that doesn't mean we were on vacation. Our ministry has branched out. We not only make prayer shawls, we also provide head huggers for those undergoing chemotherapy, Linus blankets for toddlers needing love, caps for newborns, funeral layettes for babies [the outfit is then given to the parents] and now the latest -- baby outfits for babies undergoing a cooling down process to deter further brain damage. These outfits were requested by a pediatric facility in the state of California, and we will be sending them in January. Our ministry's focus is not knitting and crocheting. Our focus is prayer for God's hand in the lives of those receiving our items.
A Healthy Perspective
“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health just as your soul prospers.” -III John 1:2
"Be Prepared" Isn't that the Girl Scout motto? – And a good one. How prepared are we when it comes to handling emergencies. Here are some of the ways. Meet with your family to help them understand the dangers of different emergencies and how to respond to each is very important. Make sure there is a list of emergency numbers posted by the phone or on your cell phone contact list. Everyone [including children] should know how to dial 911 and give only pertinent information. In case of fire, have escape routes from each room. Does everyone know how to use the fire extinguisher -- are batteries good in the smoke alarms? Winter snow and ice can knock out power. Be prepared with extra clothing, blankets, at least a 3 day supply of food, batteries, flashlights and a battery-operated radio. Do you have a stocked first aid kit in your home and in your car? There are many ways to be prepared and respond to different emergencies. Emergency Preparedness Guide booklets are available in the foyer of the Church. Further information at www.ReadyPA.org ---- Be prepared. Jesus also tells us to be prepared. "And if someone asks about your Christian hope always be ready to explain it."

Dear Church Family,
Thank you very much for the “love gift” we received from you. It is truly a blessing and will help us at this difficult time. God is close and helping us all along the way through thick & thin. His will be done. Dan has one more week of radiation to go. There will be a schedule of chemo therapy in the future.
Love,
Dan and Louise Davis
Dear Friends and Loved Ones,
We think of many of you and pray daily for you all. God bless and keep you in his love and care. Thank you for sending the bulletins every week. Evelyn is in the Health Center for now.
Love, Bob and Evelyn Clark
Is it really 2013? Another year has gone by, and I am reminded of how precious time is. Just a few short days ago, I saw my daughter sing at our Christmas Eve service, and saw images of myself as a young child, singing for the first time. Many years have passed since that time, and though there are times that I long to go back to simpler days when life was much less complicated, I find myself more yearning for the days ahead – eager for what plan God is placing before me.
As always, I am so grateful for all who participate in music and worship ministries at our church. I want to thank our instrumentalists, vocalists, sound and computer technicians, song leaders, and all others who share their talents. Your gifts and willingness to share them help make worship each week truly special. In 2012, we shared two great dramatic presentations at Easter and Christmas, along with many smaller special music and drama events. In addition, I want to thank our church and all those who shared cards, gifts, and kind words with my family and I throughout the year and at Christmas time.
Look for more information on some great events in the coming months in the newsletter and bulletin, and check out how you can be a part of these special times. I am excited for what is in the works and what God has planned for us in the coming months related to music and worship!

Sanctity of Life Sunday
Reminder that "Sanctity of Life Sunday", a day set aside to proclaim the preciousness of all human life from the unborn to the
100 plus year old. President Reagan chose this day usually the third Sunday in January as the closest day to the date when
abortion became legal in our country. The pro-life movement and support of the unborn is growing as people are becoming
educated. Pray that abortion on demand very soon becomes outlawed.
