Apollo OS

The Operating system for the Apollo navigation was made by wiring loops

Having a wire go through the loop was a one and outside was a zero.

It had approximately 64kbs of memory.

It was more basic than some modern toasters.

Modern OS

Modern Operating systems are made of hundreds and hundreds of lines of code.

They can support up to 128 gb of memory.

Operating Systems for smart phones are more complex than the Apollo navigation system.

Why the Apollo system failed

They activated a return command too early and the computer was overloaded and started dropping unnecessary functions.
