Smart4apex is a guild of Apex specialists. By uniting professionals, we provide a unique platform to share

knowledge and experience with each other. Our goal: To inspire by learning from each other. This mutual

inspiration and collaboration has resulted in a number of advanced software solutions, developed by our

members. We would like to highlight three of our latest products.

1 Apex Bootstrap themeBrothers Richard and Sergei Martens, both members of the smart4apex guild, joined forces this year to

develop a Twitter Bootstrap theme for Oracle Apex. This theme is available to the apex-community for

free. (www.apex-bootstrap.com) Today this theme has been downloaded over 1500 times. A clear sign

that the theme meets a need.

The development team constantly improves the theme and adds new features. Release 5 is scheduled for 2015. This version will, again, have a couple of nice and surprising features. Here some highlights we are currently working on:

now, made users export Apex report data to Excel.

3 SQLWord - The light and much cheaper replacement

of BI PublisherSQLWord is a reporting tool using Microsoft Word templates to generate Microsoft Word documents

merged with data from your Oracle database.

Made for Oracle Developers

By using the SQLWord developers can place several PL/SQL statements enclosed by <% %> scriptlets inside the text of a Microsoft Word document. Microsoft Word documents with these scriptlets can be stored into the Oracle database compiled to PL/SQL stored procedures using the SQLWord Developer application. When calling a generated PL/SQL stored procedure SQLWord retrieves the data from the Oracle database and integrates the data into the generated output Word .docx-document.
