Apex-BrasilThe Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil) was created in 2003 as a
"Autonomous Social Service Agency", which is financed by a tax levied on a contribution
charged on the payroll of Brazilian companies. Apex-Brasil is accountable to the Ministry of
Development, Industry and Foreign Trade of Brazil.
The Ministry and Apex-Brasil have signed a management contract, which establishes annual
objectives and targets related to export promotion that must be met by Apex-Brazil.
Apex-BrasilWith headquarters in Brasilia, Apex-Brasil has a large physical infrastructure and about 300
skilled employees in Brazil and abroad.

The project PEIEX (Industrial Extension for Exporting) is a project of capacity building for
small and medium-sized enterprises with export potential.

measures to enable them to start a safe and
focused export process.
