Dove Close, Capel St Mary consists of 32 properties, 6 affordablerent and 26 for leasehold sale. There are 19 apartments and 13bungalows for leasehold sale, all of which consist of 2 bedroomsand have been built for local people or those who have connectionsto the village or the surrounding parishes. These properties aredesigned to offer independent living to those who have previouslystruggled in their home. The properties have been built towheelchair standard and have wet rooms attached to the mainbedroom and pull cords in all rooms in case of emergency.

To be considered for one of these properties you will need tocontact the Home Ownership Officer who will guide you throughthe application process and assist you with getting your namedown on the list for one of these properties.

Wenham View, Dove Close consists of 19 apartments, overtwo floors, and an additional 13 bungalows. Each property hasits own front door, a bedroom, lounge, kitchen and shower orbathroom, including a WC. Within each property there is anEmergency Intercom alarm system, with pull cords to operatethis. Pendant alarms to wear are also available upon request.

We can help you with the following, laundry,cleaning, shopping, assistance with bathing,attending outings, various in-house activitiessuch as bingo, sing-a-longs and

arts and crafts. This is not an exhaustive list,therefore, please contact us for furtherinformation.

Additional Services

CARE SERVICESYou can purchase a care service from our Domiciliary CareAgency, regulated by the Care Quality Commission.

We will ask you to sign a Care Services Agreement which clearlydefines our terms and conditions. We will also provide you with anindividual care plan which will be tailored to your requirements.Your care plan will define which tasks you need help with and willbe reviewed with you on a regular basis.

We provide this service to older people who have a variety ofsupport needs including mental health, physical, sensory andlearning difficulties. Staff are trained to QCF (Qualifications CreditFramework)/NVQ (National Vocational Qualifications) in Health andSocial Care Standards, including Manual Handling and otherspecialised training dependent on the needs of the individual suchas Dementia, Parkinson’s, Diabetes, and Strokes. All our supportstaff have been vetted with an enhanced Disclosure and BarringServices check.

We are able to offer outreach care and support services to the localcommunity and short term respite or transitional services within ourother schemes, with personal care delivered by our staff. Our aim isto assist individuals in maintaining their daily living skills in order forthem to be as independent as possible.

Properties are available tothose who are over 55 andlive, work or have familywho live in the BaberghDistrict with priority beinggiven to those who live inCapel St Mary. Rentedproperties will beadvertised on Gateway toHome choice. You will needto register at www.gatewaytohomechoice.org.uk

Bungalows and apartmentsare available for affordablerent and leasehold sale, thepurchase price will be fixedat the time you reserve aproperty.

When purchasing a 75%share of the property, norent is payable on theremaining 25% that isowned by Orwell.

Once you have yourproperty on the market, youcan hold a property forthree months whilst selling
