Meg Pauken Joins

The Gertsburg Law Firm

The Gertsburg Law Firm is pleased to announce that attorney Meg Pauken

has joined the firm.

Ms. Pauken will serve clients in the areas of Elder Law, Estate Planning,

Probate, and Special Education. She will help our clients protect and

preserve their assets, while planning for their futures.

Ms. Pauken draws on over 20 years of experience as a lawyer to provide

wise and compassionate advice, unique to each client’s personal and family

situation. Ms. Pauken started her career in a small firm, doing a wide range

of civil litigation. Later she defended drug and medical device

manufacturers in large-scale litigation, before settling into family law.

As a family law attorney, Ms. Pauken focused on a collaborative practice model, working with families to

negotiate the best possible resolution in difficult circumstances. Over time, her practice has shifted to the

planning aspect of representing families. Ms. Pauken helps her clients plan for the preservation and distribution

of their assets, often through the use of trusts. She advises clients when a spouse or elderly family member is

facing admission to a nursing home or long-term care facility, helping them navigate the often confusing world

of Medicaid eligibility and asset preservation.

Ms. Pauken also advises and advocates for children with special educational needs, to help them obtain the

services they need in order to thrive. She assists their parents with guardianships, conservatorships, and special

needs trusts, along with general estate planning.

When she is not working with clients, Meg spends time with her husband, daughters, and dog Ollie camping

and hiking.

Learn more about Ms. Pauken and the Gertsburg Law Firm at www.gertsburglaw.com or contact her at the

office at (440)571-7542 or by email at [email protected].

As a Chamber member you are entitled to health care benefits and discounts including dental through Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield. Figuring out if your dental network offers the most value to your business and your employees can be tough. That’s why we want to help you evaluate the network against these 5 features:

1. Access to a large, national network – With a network, bigger is better. Most employers want a network that offers a large number of dentists so that employees can receive care from the dentist they prefer.

2. Network discounts – Ask about network discounts. When members visit an in-network provider

for covered services, they should receive savings based on the negotiated discounts between a

carrier and the providers in their network. 3. Low network turnover – One sign of a good, stable network (and happy participating providers)

is low annual network turnover. Look for a network with annual turnover of 2 percent or less. 4. Credentialing and re-credentialing – Check to see how carriers handles credentialing and how

often dentists are re-credentialed. This ensures providers maintain their licenses, are insured and meet guidelines for quality and professional standards.

5. Recruitment commitment – A dental carrier should be committed to growing their network. If your clients have access issues in specific areas, find out whether the carrier will use target recruiting to help meet access objectives and if they offer recruitment guarantees.
