Drive Last November in partnership with North Fulton Community Charities (NFCC) St Davids donated more than 200 frozen turkeys in support of NFCCs holiday outreach to 700 families for their Thanksgiving meal Drop off frozen turkeys on Sunday November 24th between 730 ammdash1130 am in the front parking lot of the church

ADVENT QUIET DAY

December music at St Davidrsquos is going to be splendid We will have flutes oboe trumpets and harp Advent Lessons and

Carols happens at 5pm Sunday December 15th

Over fifty voices (Adults and Youth) will be joined by bells oboe flute narrators and candlelight around the nave as we honor the coming of Christ through beautiful music and eloquent words This one hour service will be followed by a special cookie hot chocolate mulled cider mulled wine reception in Grace Hall It will be a perfect time to invite neighbors family and friends to share this time of beautiful preparation and the sensory joys of the season Christmas Eve services include our handbell choir and trumpets for the 8pm service The 1030 music presentation and the 1100 pm service will include trumpets harp procession with bells creative new arrangements of classical Christmas music special solos and traditional favorites as we usher in Christmas at this festival service A special opportunity to honor or memorialize loved ones is by making a donation for special Christmas Music The names

of your loved ones will be in the Advent Lessons and Carols bulletin and the Christmas Eve bulletins

from 900 to 12 noon in Grace Parish Hall

Please come and join us as we gather for thoughtful meditation on what the birth of Jesus Christ brings to us and our world Our Advent Quiet Day is sponsored by St Davidrsquos Daughters of the King and will be lead this year by the Rev Deacon Kathy Holman and is open to anyone who is interested

designed for people of all ages who want to

experience church in a creative and hands on way

At Messy Church will gather together in an open

space to worship with music and movement sit on

the floor for storytelling time from scripture

make Advent Wreaths and celebrate the

Eucharist Before we go we will have time for

fellowship over dinner

When is Messy Church December 1 from

400 - 630 in Swanson Hall You can sleep in

this Sunday morning if you want to and come to

church in the afternoon plus well feed you dinner

HONDURAS MISSION TRIP

Have you ever wanted to participate in ldquoThe Great Commissionrdquo and to go out into the world and ldquoBe The Churchrdquo For 16 years missionary teams from St Davidrsquos and other area churches have been going to Honduras most recently focusing on supporting the work of the LAMB Institutersquos childrenrsquos home in San Buena Ventura For more information on this mission work go to the following link httpstdavidchurchorgoutreachhonduras-mission For 2020 the adult trip is tentatively scheduled for February 29th ndash March 7th In the past we have focused on interaction with the children while doing a building mission but last year we followed a two track program with the second track being spiritual developmentreflection The cost will depend on the number attending but tends to run about $500 -$550 (food lodging and local transportation) plus airfare St Davidrsquos has a budget item that covers some of the project costs For more information or to express and interest please call Bill Sleeper at 678-640-5428 or email wsleeperaolcom

Year -End Reminders from the Finance Off ice

The last date that contributions can be received in order to claim a charitable tax contribution for 2019 is Tuesday December 31st Checks and cash that are received by St Davidrsquos after the 31st will not qualify for a 2019 deduction even if the check is backdated to 2019 However checks that are written mailed and postmarked by December 31st will be deductible in 2019 Please note if

you are personally bringing your check in go directly to the Finance Office

You may want to consider donating stock to fulfill your pledge Gifts of stock can provide donors with a double tax benefit First you are able to claim a charitable donation on the current amount of the donated stock not just the amount you originally paid for it Second you do not pay taxes on the appreciated value of the stock Should you decide this is something you might want to do please contact Cathy Cheatwood in the finance office at 770-993-1094 ext 120 to get St Davidrsquos account number and DTC required for a broker to broker transaction This is a fairly easy way to make the transfer without all the paperwork St Davidrsquos appreciates all your contributions Each

Have you ever wanted to participate in ldquoThe Great Commissionrdquo and to go out into the world and ldquoBe The Churchrdquo For 16 years missionary teams from St Davidrsquos and other area churches have been going to Honduras most recently focusing on supporting the work of the LAMB Institutersquos childrenrsquos home in San Buena Ventura For more information on this mission work go to the following link httpstdavidchurchorgoutreachhonduras-mission For 2020 the adult trip is tentatively scheduled for February 29th ndash March 7th In the past we have focused on interaction with the children while doing a building mission but last year we followed a two track program with the second track being spiritual developmentreflection The cost will depend on the number attending but tends to run about $500 -$550 (food lodging and local transportation) plus airfare St Davidrsquos has a budget item that covers some of the project costs For more information or to express and interest please call Bill Sleeper at 678-640-5428 or email wsleeperaolcom

The last date that contributions can be received in order to claim a charitable tax contribution for 2019 is Tuesday December 31st Checks and cash that are received by St Davidrsquos after the 31st will not qualify for a 2019 deduction even if the check is backdated to 2019 However checks that are written mailed and postmarked by December 31st will be deductible in 2019 Please note if

you are personally bringing your check in go directly to the Finance Office

Drive Last November in partnership with North Fulton Community Charities (NFCC) St Davids donated more than 200 frozen turkeys in support of NFCCs holiday outreach to 700 families for their Thanksgiving meal Drop off frozen turkeys on Sunday November 24th between 730 ammdash1130 am in the front parking lot of the church

ADVENT QUIET DAY

December music at St Davidrsquos is going to be splendid We will have flutes oboe trumpets and harp Advent Lessons and

Carols happens at 5pm Sunday December 15th

Over fifty voices (Adults and Youth) will be joined by bells oboe flute narrators and candlelight around the nave as we honor the coming of Christ through beautiful music and eloquent words This one hour service will be followed by a special cookie hot chocolate mulled cider mulled wine reception in Grace Hall It will be a perfect time to invite neighbors family and friends to share this time of beautiful preparation and the sensory joys of the season Christmas Eve services include our handbell choir and trumpets for the 8pm service The 1030 music presentation and the 1100 pm service will include trumpets harp procession with bells creative new arrangements of classical Christmas music special solos and traditional favorites as we usher in Christmas at this festival service A special opportunity to honor or memorialize loved ones is by making a donation for special Christmas Music The names

Whats Happening St Davids will be offering

a special worship opportunity on December 1 from

400 - 630 in Swanson Hall Messy Church is

designed for people of all ages who want to

experience church in a creative and hands on way

At Messy Church will gather together in an open

space to worship with music and movement sit on

the floor for storytelling time from scripture

make Advent Wreaths and celebrate the

Eucharist Before we go we will have time for

fellowship over dinner

When is Messy Church December 1 from

400 - 630 in Swanson Hall You can sleep in

this Sunday morning if you want to and come to

church in the afternoon plus well feed you dinner

Whos invited Everyone This is a great

opportunity for St Davids parishioners to invite

friends or neighbors to experience Christian

community and worship at its best

HONDURAS MISSION TRIP

Have you ever wanted to participate in ldquoThe Great Commissionrdquo and to go out into the world and ldquoBe The Churchrdquo For 16 years missionary teams from St Davidrsquos and other area churches have been going to Honduras most recently focusing on supporting the work of the LAMB Institutersquos childrenrsquos home in San Buena Ventura For more information on this mission work go to the following link httpstdavidchurchorgoutreachhonduras-mission For 2020 the adult trip is tentatively scheduled for February 29th ndash March 7th In the past we have focused on interaction with the children while doing a building mission but last year we followed a two track program with the second track being spiritual developmentreflection The cost will depend on the number attending but tends to run about $500 -$550 (food lodging and local transportation) plus airfare St Davidrsquos has a budget item that covers some of the project costs For more information or to express and interest please call Bill Sleeper at 678-640-5428 or email wsleeperaolcom
