“BLESSED ARE YOU”

DEUTERONOMY 28:1-3

Sacrifice will attract the attention of heaven.

The phrase ‘Blessed are you’ is in reference to an individual and not a group of people.

To us believers, blessings come by the way of the cross of Jesus Christ - 2 Corinthians 8:9.

To be blessed is to be favoured and assisted by God.

Blessings change your story.

A blessing is God commanding every force in heaven, on earth and underneath the earth to

assist an individual to succeed in life.

There are conditions required by anyone who will receive blessings from God.

There are general blessings that we enjoy and there are covenant/faith-based blessings that

are only for the children of God.

To be blessed means you have everything you need for the journey in life.

God does not want us to stumble our way through life without achieving the purpose for

which we are here for.

Everything you need is in His blessing to us.

He said to Moses that “I will make all my goodness go before you and declare the name of the

Lord, He show mercy to whom He will show mercy, and He will show compassion to whom He will

show compassion” - Exodus 33:19.

God deals with individuals, especially as it relates to His plans, purposes and promises.

With every blessing of God, comes a condition to be fulfilled by as many as are willing to

obey it.

Every child of God is designed to be blessed and be a blessing to others.

The purpose of every child of God is not money or position but, in touching lives for Jesus.

We are to make impact wherever we find ourselves. Impact is better than income.

Being a Blessing is not referring to making of money alone but God touching lives through

you.

We must be people of faith with our faith in the unfailing Word of God.

Our faith is in God that cannot lie, nor deny Himself, and whose promises are Yea and Amen.

1 Samuel 15:29.

We must always engage and honour the covenant practices written in the scriptures.

We must remember that a covenant we honour will be a covenant that will work for us.

When we are obedient to all His instructions and keep His words, then the benefits of those

instructions and the words we obey will work for us.

Christians are engrafted into the family of God by divine covenant.

It is our responsibility to search out those covenants and obey them for our own good.

The Word of God that we honour and obey will work for us.

We must know that the Word of God cannot fail - Isaiah 40:8.

Heaven and earth may pass away, but not a word out of His words will ever go unfulfilled.

When we honour God with our lives, and engage in covenant practices, we will be blessed.

God, the eternal Creator knows how to bless His own children if we follow His principles

Deuteronomy 8:18.

But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God, for it is He that giveth thee power to get wealth,

that He may establish His covenant which He sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.

The key word for the blessed is his or her ability to harken diligently to the voice of the Lord

his/her God.

The second is our observation to do all His commandments.

It is only then that the Lord will set us high above all nations of the earth.

How good are you at hearkening to the voice of God? Are you very selective at what you

hearken to or not?

Abraham hearkened to the voice of the Lord when he was told to leave his father and

mother to a land God will show him - Genesis 12:1-3.

As a result of hearkening to the voice of the Lord, God caused him to prosper greatly.

We too will prosper when we hearken to the voice of the Lord and do whatever He says.

Sacrificial giving is another cure for curses, proven by Psalm 126:1-5.

Your sacrifices will shut the mouth of lions and it will turn your captivity into liberation.

When you live sacrificially, you will live in liberty.

We must be people that offer sacrifices of praise to God if we are going to enjoy His

unending blessings. Psalm 50:23.

Psalm 20:3.

Every opportunity to offer sacrifices to God is an opportunity to break free from curses and

oppression.

Do not wait on your church to call for sacrifices before you make one. Create an opportunity

for your lifting and breakthrough today.

If you honour God, He will bless you beyond your wildest dreams.

Life is not about what to eat, wear, or possess but, about what you sacrifice.

Jesus sacrificed His life for our freedom and liberty and we too must live like our Father, a life

of sacrifice.

We can not afford to continue to pursue what unbelievers are pursuing. We must realise that

when we put God first in all life matters, our life will matter to Him - Matthew 6:25-28.

Jesus advised us not to take thought for our lives as life is more important than raiment.

When we put God first in all things, He will make our matter of utmost importance to Him

and thereby cause every element to work for our good.

Matthew 5:3-11.

Jesus listed certain categories of blessed people.

Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are they that mourn, for they shall be comforted.

Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.

Blessed are they which hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled.

Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.

Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God.

Blessed are the peace makers, for they shall be called the children of God.

Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness sake, for theirs is the kingdom

of heaven.

Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of

evil against you falsely, for my sake, rejoice, and be exceeding glad, for great is your

reward in heaven, for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

Above all, when we practice all what was listed above and obey them, then we shall be

blessed indeed.

Prayer: May the blessings of God continually be our portion in Jesus name, Amen.

2020 PROPHECIES BY THE GENERAL OVERSEER OF RCCG

WORLDWIDE INDIVIDUALS: This Year (2020) is going to be A YEAR OF SERIES OF JOYS

The reason is that it is going to be a Year of “Series of Victories”

Now by implications, it means that it will be a Year of “Series of Battles”. But you will WIN!

And that is why He asked me to tell you in advance that “The Battle is Not Yours”

GOD says: This new year, He will answer prayers.

INTERNATIONAL: This year unless you pray very hard, it is going to behave like a child that is

having convulsion; earthquakes and volcanoes that have been dormant for years will erupt, the

reason is due to SIN. SIN is becoming more rampant. There will also be change of governments all

over the world, some of the changes will be peaceful, and some will not.

A LESSON ON LYING A minister told his congregation, "Next week I plan to preach about the sin of lying. To

help you understand my sermon, I want you all to read Mark 17."

The following Sunday, as he prepared to deliver his sermon, the minister asked for a

show of hands. He wanted to know how many had read Mark 17. Every hand went up. The minister

smiled and said, "Mark has only sixteen chapters. I will now proceed with my sermon on the sin of

lying."

PROSPECTING FOR THE LORD On a sunny Sunday afternoon, two young church members were going door to door to invite

people to visit their services. When they knocked on one door, it was immediately clear the woman

who answered was not happy to see them.

She told them in no uncertain terms that she did not want to hear their message, and before they

could say anything more, she slammed the door in their faces.

To her surprise, however, the door did not close; in fact, it bounced back open. She tried again,

really putting her back into it, and slammed it again with the same result - the door bounced back

open.

Convinced these rude young people were sticking their foot in her door, she reared back to give it a

slam that would teach them a lesson. Just then, one of them said quietly: "Ma'am, before you do that

again, you really need to move your cat."
