• Gallup conducted a study of people’s attitudes toward chiropractic

care in the United States.

• Survey sampled 7,645 individuals via the internet and mail surveys

from Feb. 8 – March 11, 2016.

• Primary purpose of survey: Assess 3 main questions about

chiropractic care.

1. Do Americans view chiropractic care as safe and effective?

2. What are the major barriers preventing Americans from

seeking out chiropractic care?

3. What can chiropractors and the chiropractic industry do to

enhance the experience and care provided to patients?

Ø 62 million U.S. Adults (25 percent) went to a chiropractor in the last 5 years

Ø 35.5 million saw a chiropractor in the last 12 months

Ø Adults who’ve seen a chiropractor in the last 12 months are generally very positive about their experience

Ø About 3 in 4 of these adults (77%) describe the treatment as ‘very effective.’
