AQUAtapTM Water Purification & Distribution System
Quest’s AQUAtapTM Water Purification & Distribution System
is a self-contained, decentralized, solar-powered water
purification and distribution system. The Water Stations are
a cost-effective, sustainable, and environmentally sound
turnkey solution that supply pure, potable water to communities and locations that do not currently have a
source of reliable, clean water. Each unit is fully
autonomous, powered by state-of-the-art photovoltaic panels.
The energy-efficient AQUAtapTM is available in several
configurations, depending on the water source and
preferred vending method. The AQUAtapTM Water Purification & Distribution Systems convert contaminated
ground water, brackish, or sea water into purified drinking water at a rate of up to 80,000 liters per day. The systems are both modular and scalable in design, easily allowing
for increased water production, and are designed to
function in any environment and without any existinginfrastructure. Housed in a modular enclosure, a single solar-powered AQUAtapTM
system will produce clean water for up to 4,000 people per day from a variety of
water sources.
General DescriptionThe source water is pumped from a contaminated freshwater, brackish, or saline source through a staged filtering sequence starting with heavy sediment and filtering down to the sub-micron level. The source water first passes through an automatic flushing sand separator to remove large particles. The water is then fed through twin backwashing media filters to remove additional heavy sediment down to 10 - 20 micron range. There are then three parallel trains of bag filters at 10 micron, 5 micron, and 1 micron as pre-filters. Filter polishing is with either a triple parallel self-cleaning ultrafilter with a filtration level of 0.01 micron (in the event of contaminated freshwater) or a Reverse Osmosis membrane (in the event the source water contains salinity levels
>15,000 parts per million). The purified water is then pumped through an Ultraviolet
sterilization unit prior to being pumped into one of two, 2,000 liter holding tanks, then
through a second Ultraviolet sterilization unit prior to being dispensed by the end user.
The pumps and compressors are powered by a series of batteries that are charged
through an array of photovoltaic panels.
The components are manufactured in the United States and Canada at ISO certified
factories. Essential features of the equipment include; independence and mobility,
extremely fast installation, very low energy consumption, no ongoing fuel costs,
minimal maintenance requirements, and product water that exceeds WHO standards.

DRINKING WATER COSTS – COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS (Average Emerging Market Prices)
Per Litre Per 50 Litres Per 1,000 Litres
AQUAtapTM $0.00049 $0.024 $0.49
Trucked Municipal Water $0.02 - $0.05 $1.00 - $2.50 $20.00 - $50.00
Domestic Bottled Water $1.50 $75.00 $1,500.00
Imported Bottled Water $3.20 $160.00 $3,200.00
The chart clearly shows the vast difference in cost between these three current methods and water derived from Quest Water’s AQUAtap Water Purification & Distribution System.

COMPARATIVE ANALYSISUsing the average emerging market water prices as an example, and where the
Company has performed extensive due diligence and accurately assessed
drinking water availability, the table below outlines the cost of the three current methods of water accessibility to marginalized citizens: river water delivered by truck to public cisterns, domestic bottled water, and imported bottle water.
