Location

The location of the descent is based on one area, with a group of girls going caving going having fun then eventually find out later that they were not supposed to be there, because of how the area is very restricted, and dangerous to be in. Later on in the movie it becomes a caving expedition goes horribly wrong, as the explorers become trapped and ultimately pursued by a strange bred of predators.

Costume and props

The costume in the descent isn’t really that noticeable as most of the scenes were in the dark cave and it makes us wonder if some of the stuff where real or not

Mise-en- scene

• Mise en scene is an expression used to describe the design aspects of a theatre or film production, when applied to the cinema, mise en scene refers to everything that appears before the camera and it’s arrangement composition, sets, props, actors, costumes, and lighting.

• Non- diegetic sound is when he sound that isn’t made by what happens in the world of film.

• Diegetic sound- the sound made by what is happening in the media text.
