Mounted SpringsFree Standing Isolators (FDS)

Restrain Isolators (FLS)

Industrial Vibration Isolation

FDS are free-standing, unhoused, large diameter, laterallystable steel springs contained in an upper load plate/levelling assembly and lower load plate/noise padassembly, for control of high frequency vibration.

They are also available as an all-welded unit for bolt-downapplications.

FDS spring isolators are designed for spring deflectionranges from 18 mm to 100 mm with load capacity up to10,500 kgs.

FDS spring isolators are recommended for isolation offloor-mounted refrigeration compressors, pumps, packaged air handlers, airconditioning equipment, centrifugal and axial fans, and internal combustionengines.

For equipment that is subject to weight change or highwind loads, we have Restrained Spring Isolators.

FDS1SpringIsolator

FDS2SpringIsolator

Model FLS vibration isolators consist of free-standing,large diameter, laterally stable steel springs assembledinto welded steel housing assemblies. It is fabricated tolimit vertical movement of the isolated equipment, if theequipment loads are reduced, or if the equipment issubjected to large external forces.

The housings also provide a constant free and operatingheight to facilitate installation. Spring elements arecomplete with internal noise isolation pads and have anadjusting and leveling bolt as a part of the top load plateassembly. Holes are provided in all isolators for bolting tothe structure and to the supported equipment. The isolatorcan be welded to the structure as well. To assure stability, the springs have lateral spring stiffness greater than 1.2times the rated vertical stiffness, and are designed toprovide a minimum of 50 per cent overload capacity.

Kinetics Model FLS vertically restrained spring isolationmounts are recommended as a noise and vibrationisolator for mechanical equipment located near criticallyquiet areas, where the equipment to be isolated hassignificant changes of weight during maintenanceoperations, and for equipment subjected to external forcesor high wind loads.

• Assembled with welded steel housing

• Limited vertical moment with reducing loads

• Deflections - upto 102 mm

• Load capacities - upto 10,524 kg

• Ideal for cooling towers and chillers, air-cooledcondensers, etc.

Mounted Glassfibre PadsGlassfibre Isolators (KIP)

Glassfibre Vibration Isolator (AC)

Any equipment either rotor or stator will have its own CS(critical speed) or natural frequency which, when excited, results in structureborne vibration and airborne noise inthe building. By designing the rotor, we can minimize orensure the equipment operates below or higher to itscritical speed. But that is an ideal situation. A quick solutionfor currently operating equipment is to avoid such noise/vibration issues with a product called ‘pad isolators’.

Anutone’s Noizkon division has extensive expertise andexperience in designing and manufacturing innovativeproducts to control noise/vibration in technicalcollaboration with Kinetics USA, and pad isolators is oneof them, distinct from neoprene or spring isolators. Padisolators are precompressed, moulded glassfibre-basedcubes that can be incorporated into innovative floorisolation systems.

Available in a range of load rating and vibration isolationefficiency, pad isolations from Anutone-Kinetics areextensively researched, tested and proven at project sites.

Project SolutionsAsk for project solutions withAnutone-Kinetics KIPproducts. Offering thebroadest range of isolators ofany company in the industry,we design and engineerproduct solutions for:• HVAC equipment and piping• Industrial machinery• Decoupling of generated noise (source) to

structure (receiver)

Model AC Glassfibre Isolators can be used for anyapplication requiring isolation of audible frequencyvibrat ion or noise, or for v ibrat ion isolat ion ofmechanical equipment with lowest operating speedsof 1750 rpm when mounted on a grade supported slabor pier.

Model AC isolators are typical ly used when thepredictable dynamic response and permanent loadsupport characteristics of glassfibre are desired inconjunction with a bolt-down and vertical lift controlfeature.

Special application of Model AC isolators include useas both an isolator and wind lift holddown support forisolated precast concrete roof systems used to reducetransmitted noise from fly-over aircraft.

Mounted Neoprene PadsNeoprene Vibration Isolators (RD)

Flexoply Isolation Pads (NDF)

Industrial Vibration Isolation

Kinetics Model RD neoprene isolation mounts can beused to isolate noise and high frequency vibrationgenerated by mechanical equipment located on a grade-supported structural slab or pier.

Typical applications of Model RD neoprene isolators arelimited to isolation of mechanical equipment having thelowest operating speeds of 1750 RPM when located on agrade-supported slab or pier, and include close-coupledpumps with motors of 5 H.P. or less, small vent sets, lowpressure packaged airhandling units, and similarequipment types.

Model RD neoprene isolation mounts can also be usedfor isolation of mechanical equipment specified to besupported by neoprene rubber or elastomer isolators andwith tabulated minimum static deflection up to 13 mm.

• Moulded neoprene

• Cast-in tapped steel load plate

• Cast-in drilled steel anchor/base plate

• Load capacities 25~1814 kg

• Static deflection up to 13 mm

• Ideal for all air handling units

Model NDF Flexoply isolation pads are a laminatedneoprene and cotton duck fabric isolation materialdeveloped for use in highly loaded, shock and vibrationisolation applications.

Model NDF Flexoply pads utilize 64 layers per inch(2.6 layers per mm) thickness of laminated neoprene andduck fabric, which allows absorption of shock andvibration by movement of the neoprene in and out of thefabric layers.

• Laminated neoprene and cotton fabric

• Loading capacity upto 703 kgs/cm2

• Suitable for ball mills, broaching machines, crane rails, crushers

Suspended IsolatorsSpring and Glassfibre Isolation Hanger (SFH)

Spring and Neoprene Isolation Hanger (SRH)

Kinetics Model SFH hangers are recommended for usenear critically quiet areas for isolating any suspendedsource of both audible and inaudible noise and vibration.Suspended mechanical equipment such as in-line fans, cabinet fans, and piping and ductwork in close proximityto mechanical equipment are typical uses of Model SFHhangers.

High sound transmission loss ceiling systems can beeffectively isolated by the use of Model SFH hangers inthe ceiling suspension system. This hanger model isparticularly suitable for use in isolated ceiling systemsused to shield spaces from mechanical equipmentrooms, flyover aircraft, and similar sound isolationinvolving predominantly low frequency noise.

• Spring with pre-compressed moulded glassfibre

• Polyester powder-coated bracket and spring coil

• Self-centering cap

• Deflections 26~56mm and 104~112mm

• Load capacities 16~1747 kg

• Suitable for AHU ducts and piping

Model SRH hangers are used to isolate suspendedsources of both noise and vibration. Suspendedmechanical equipment such as in-line fans, cabinet fans, and piping and ductwork in close proximity to mechanicalequipment are typical uses of Model SRH hangers.

In noise sensitive areas, the pipe hangers selectedshould have the same deflection as that specified for theequipment isolation and all piping in the building shouldbe isolated.

High sound transmission loss ceiling systems can beisolated by the use of Model SRH hangers in the ceilingsuspension system.

• Spring neoprene pad

• Self-centering cap

• Deflection 30~61mm
