Treatments

0 Antisocial personality disorder is one of the most difficult personality disorders to treat. People with this condition rarely seek treatment on their own. They may only start therapy when required to by a court.

0 Behavioral treatments, such as those that reward appropriate behavior and have negative consequences for illegal behavior, may hold the most promise. Certain forms of talk therapy are also being explored.

0 Persons with antisocial personality who have other disorders, such as a mood or substance disorder, are often treated for those problems as well.

About Me

0 I've always been different since I was a kid, and I knew that. I'm homosexual. That's one part of my difference. I don't want you to think I'm still looking for myself when it comes to my sexuality, I'm sure about that for a long time. I was always kind of looking from the top on the other people, I felt more important and like having extreme power.

Still about me

0 . I was never really friendly and didn't have many friends when I was in lower grades. My parents used to make me to hang out with guys of my age but I never felt like I should do it. I just couldn't fit. And didn't try to fit. I guess I am a very intelligent kid - I learned to read and write very early.

More about me

0Now I'm in high school. For the last 3 years I've experienced a lot of things. I was in a relationship with a guy, for a first time, when I was 15. He dumped me and I was very frustrated after that. I just couldn't deal with a fact he didn't want me anymore. I hate being rejected, especially in a sexual way. As the time was passing by, I've become more stronger and colder after that event.

More about me

0 In the last 5-6 months I was abused by some homophobes in my school. Verbally, then I got physically attacked. But it didn't last very long cause I reacted and they got suspended from school. From then I'm having low anxiety disorder. It's more like acute reaction to stress. I went to psychiatrist who prescribed me Xanax. I'm also getting easily aggressive. Xanax calms me down.

More about me

0So, now I should get to the point. Why do I think I'm psychopathic? Or antisocial? Well, first of all, I have a lot of symptoms that are included in ASPD. I'm charming. My appearance plays a big part in my life. I love to look good, I'm a little narcissistic, I could say.

0 I enjoy hurting people with no reason. I'm aggressive. Just one small thing can made me explode in a second! People around me hate that and know that I have a bad temperament.

Continuation

0They also think of me like some weirdo and find me very eccentric. I kind of like that, and I feel flattered when someone tells me that I'm scary. I like using sedatives, just to feel high. I don't have many friends. Maybe one friend, just to hang around when I'm bored.

Still about me

0 I was manipulating with a few people and didn't feel any guilt cause of that. I used one of my ex-friends just to be with someone in a period of my life when no one wanted to hang out with me, and she bought me a ticket for my favorite band concert. That's one reason why I was her "friend". Then I just threw her away from me, when I found someone more interesting, and I didn't feel guilty or anything.

I believe I lack all this

Page 20: Antisocial personality ppt

Continuation

0 I didn't even want to talk to her. I started to hate her. I have psychotic thoughts very often. I think about killing people. I sometimes (especially at night) have an extreme urge to kill. Just to kill. No specific reason. I think I'm more than ready to do something like that. I don't feel empathy for other people who are suffering.

Still about me

0 I could watch Haiti children crying for a whole day, and I would just be getting bored. Blood makes me happy. I love murders, watching gore pictures etc. I'm a good liar, and I lie very often, sometimes unconsciously unimportant things, sometimes very important ones. I don't feel love for my parents. Neither for my brothers. I didn't talk to a psychiatrist about this. I didn't feel like I should.

Still about me

0Most of the time I am scared of my guts, my self and what harm I can do. I don’t know exactly why I do the things I do, but I don’t wish this for anyone.
