IN A NUTSHELL (organic, of course), We are lovers of social commentary, rational provocation and a thriving healthy planet. We use smart design, twisted humor and quality organic/sustainable materials to inspire dialogue regarding the cultivation and conservation of our earth’s resources. We poke fun at the hypocrisy in hopes that we can affect change. We are bound to push some buttons on both sides of the environmental spectrum, and we’re okay with that. Actually, that’s what we’re all about!

OUR GOALIs to create a product that is as planet-conscious as it is cheeky. That is why we use only 100% organic/recycled or reusable materials and water-based/non-planet destroying inks. Though all of our design and much of our production is produced in the USA, our T’s are presently manufactured in Peru through a fair trade cooperative. Our muy talento vendors are WRAP certified (Worldwide Responsible Apparel Production).

OUR DESIGNSMay be considered irreverent; our commitment to the environment is anything but. A percentage of each Anti-eco item purchased will be donated to the clean-up and preservation of wildlife in the Gulf oil spill. And we promise to update you as to how your donations will be spent!

Here’s one more fat-free nugget: We are doing what inspires us, and in the process we are reclaiming our turf, one t(r)ee at a time.

Don’t worry, we love the environment….why else would we T(ease) it so much?

Given the nature of the hand-screening process, no two shirts are exactly alike.[embrace individuality]

A percentage of each antieco item purchased will be donated to the clean-up and preservation of wildlife in the gulf oil spill.

www.onedayonejob.comAre You Anti-eco?...As long as you’re not afraid of puns, you should take a look at Antieco’s Philosophy.

buy-tees.netAnti-Eco, despite the name, take the environment very seriously, all their tees are certified 100% or-ganic and printed with water-based inks, their message is always eco-logical, and the subject for each and every t-shirt questions Man’s relationship with nature and the Earth. Yet they’ve still managed to hold on to their sense of humour, and in fact some of their shirts border on the hilarious.

www.kennethinthe212.com If the scene in “The Kids Are All Right” where Annette Bening’s Nic rips into Mark Ruffalo’s earthy Paul about the organic-food fad -- “If I hear one more person say how much they love heirloom tomatoes, I’m going to punch them right in the face!” -- made you smile uncomfortably, then have I got the fashion statement for you. Anti-eco, whose company philosophy states that “humor, smart design and quality are the most effective tools to combat ignorance and make a statement regarding the cultivation and conservation of our planet’s resources (granted, inappropriately),” has a fun line of T-shirts and totes that are as green as they are snarky.

New York City - ANTI-ECO DESIGNERS LAUNCH ENVIRONMENTALLY (UN)FRIENDLY TEES

Global warming sounds comfy. Acid rain tastes like chicken. A little radiation brightens my day. No, these are not the latest catchphrases of anti-environmentalists and global warming deniers. They are the slogans that adorn a new collection of graphic tees and accessories from New York based Anti-eco, a self-proclaimed environmentally kosher company, whose snarky apparel for men and women is sure to push a lot of buttons.

“Yes, we are making a statement with the collection,” admits Jonathan Meizler, who heads up Anti-eco’s team of ego-friendly, socially-conscious designers. “Both sides of the environmental spectrum exaggerate their commitment to the planet. We’re just having a little fun with their hypocrisy.”

The message may be irreverent and environmentally questionable, though the products are anything but. Each of Anti-eco’s fitted tees ($52) is made from superfine 100% organic cotton. Their totes ($28) are produced in the USA, made from heavyweight 100% organic canvas. Each piece is individually hand-screened in Brooklyn using water-based inks.

Contrary to its name, Anti-eco’s mission is to target global environmental issues. “We’re using humor, smart design and quality organic materials to combat ignorance and inspire dialogue about the cultivation and conservation of our planet’s resources,” states Meizler. And they’re putting their money where their tees are. This year, a percentage of each item purchased will be donated to the clean-up and preservation of wildlife in the Gulf.

www.anti-eco.com offers the full range of tees and totes with free standard shipping in the US, Canada and Europe.

Anti-eco is not about creating all natural, organic, green, eco-friendly, renewable, sustainable, recyclable, biodegradeable, fat-free, sodium-free, sulfate-free, non-high-fructose corn syrup, non-diary, non-processed, non-flash pasteurized stuff...but we’re pretty f*@&ing close.
