Letter from Anthony
Anthony Muñoz | President
Dear Supporters & Friends,
Making an “Impact for Eternity” is more than just a branding statement at the Anthony Muñoz Foundation, it is a tangible and
meaningful concept carried out by our Board of Directors and professional staff over the years. We are proud to say that through our eight impact programs, we are truly making a difference in the lives of our youth in the Greater Cincinnati Tri-State region.
Providing quality, life changing programs in a safe and fun environment for thousands of children in our community is our top priority. Our youth are continually being challenged to reach for new heights in academic success, realize the best in their character development and gain the skills to be leaders in their communities.
We thank all of our board members, donors, supporters, partners, staff, volunteers and parents for helping us meet our goal of enabling youth to develop into productive, caring and responsible citizens, who are displaying good character in their daily lives. It is the combined time and effort from so many individuals that makes the Anthony Muñoz Foundation flourish year after year.
Our 2012 Annual Report provides only a snapshot of our organization, but the picture is very clear — we are making an “Impact for Eternity” in today’s youth and tomorrow’s leaders by helping them grow mentally, physically, and spiritually.

The "Impact for Eternity" Camp brings together 5th-8th grade boys as the staff and coaches lead campers to meet new friends, gain knowledge on the fundamentals of football, build leadership and team-building skills in a fun-filled environment. Anthony personally shares his own insight on how his spirituality has helped to make him the man he is today.
The "Impact for Eternity" Camp continues to grow after successfully impacting 125 campers in 2012. The success of this event has created a low camper-to-coach ratio, which results in campers receiving the optimal benefit from the camp. Campers stay in an on-campus dorm throughout the duration of the camp, with meals and access to the ropes courses, chapel, and athletic facilities on site.

“I learned how to build character in myself and how to work together as a team. I also learned how to face my fears and get out of my comfort zone.”- Donyae Turner, IFE Camper

Youth Leadership
The Youth Leadership Seminar brings together over 1,200 high school students from across the Tri-State to focus on topics including adversity, diversity, volunteerism, and ethics. Students from different high schools, ethnic, and social backgrounds from throughout the Greater Cincinnati area interact with other students in a day of leadership activities at Xavier’s Cintas Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.
The YLS event provides high school students with the best knowledge, skills, and outlets to learn how to constructively give back to their school and communities, while helping to instill in them a sense of leader-ship and empowerment. Throughout the past eleven years, AMF has seen the YLS event more than triple in growth. In 2012, the Youth Leadership Seminar promoted a “Move Forward, Give Back” theme that gave students the idea to move beyond their obstacles in life and give back to their communities through service projects.
At the conclusion of the event, Anthony personally challenges all the students and administrators from each school to establish and execute their own community service project to combat the issues they’ve learned about throughout the day.

The Hispanic Character Camp hosted 90 campers grades 5th-8th this year. The campers participate in a variety of programs that focus on development of teamwork, character, leadership as well as learning the significance of their Hispanic heritage.
The campers spend the weekend at Camp Campbell Gard in Hamilton, OH with Anthony and 18 coaches and counselors. In 2012, the program grew and included 20 more campers than last year. Not only will this camp continue to grow, but also it allows a lasting impact on the students that participate with the camp.

kids"She's my weekly reminder that we can't let the problems life throws at us to hinder us
from succeeding. I'm pretty sure I might learn more from our chit-chat than she does from our tutoring sessions!"–Brittney Miller, Whiz Kid Tutor
Whiz Kids provides at-risk students with one-on-one after school tutoring by Anthony Muñoz Foundation volunteers and staff once a week throughout the entire school year. The Anthony Muñoz Foundation has partnered with Roberts Paideia Academy through City Gospel Mission the past three years for this program. Whiz Kids students are primarily from the Hispanic population or from non-English speaking homes. Our tutors help the students improve their reading levels and comprehension.
Payless EventEach year around Christmas, the Anthony Muñoz Foundation takes the Whiz Kids and other students from Roberts Paideia to Payless Shoe-Source and LaRosa’s to receive a brand new pair of shoes and the opportunity to take part in a team work activity while learning to make a pizza. In 2012, there were thirty Whiz Kids that attended this event, and coupons for a free pair of shoes were passed out for other students that could not attend the event.
