Bimodality is the key feature in Borstar© PE
—— Single reactor (Unimodal)
—— Dual reactor (Bimodal)
Anteo™Borstar® Bimodal Terpolymer (BBT) PE Technology and Benefits
Step-change in puncture and tear resistance properties
Optical properties for shelf appeal
Three main features give BBT PE Technology the competitive edge:
Bimodality in molecular weight
Bimodality in density
Tailored co-monomer incorporation
Unparalleled processability
Seal integrity and sealing speed

Lamination Film
Lamination film is usually found in the inner ply, where it serves as sealing ply and is heat-pressed to form an air tight seal.
The seal prevents loss or leakage of the packed product and eliminates odor leakage from the package.

Heavy Duty Shipping Sacks (HDSS)Application Overview
HDSS structures typically consist of different materials, ranging from polypropylene raffia, paper/plastic lamination to 100% polyolefin based co-extrusion structures.
Blown film HDSS ( mainly in Tube form ) with thickness between 100 to 200 µm, are designed to carry products up to 50kg but the most common weight for a filled sack is 25kg.
Typical applications for HDSS are to package raw materials like plastic resins, chemical products, and fertilizers.
HDSS packaging is also used in food items such as rice, salt, sugar and pet food.
Case Study2
Capitalizing on innovation: A growth imparative
HDSS Application requirements
Film rigidity / stiffness during packaging, storage and
transport. Requires excellent mechanical properties such
as dart impact, tear strength and puncture
Optimal film thickness distribution with good creep
resistance
Sufficient heat sealing range for trouble-free sealing and
high packaging speed
Low inside friction and blocking for easy opening and
faster line speed during bagging operation
Optimal COF of bag surface to ensure stability of
palletised bags
Film toughness to prevent bagging failure and product
spoilage during material handling - Drop test is critical
and should pass specification
Good processability for high production output with
bubble stability
