The salience of the male figure juxtaposes with the marginalisation of the buildings in the background emphasising the selfish nature embedded in the human condition,. Moreover the side on camera angle projected upon the man again explores this concept by suggesting that we only care about ourselves rather than those around us.Text 2 - Opinion article2. What factors does Richard Glover feel are important in shaping our interactions with others? (2 marks)2. As Glover alludes to the Garden of Eden with the intertextual reference underscoring our internal curiosity as a driving force behind the nature of our conversations. Moreover the repetition in position, position, position again serves to portray the countless times we are forced into interactions by an urge to find out more3. How does he use language features and structure to convey his opinions? (2 marks)3. As Glover implies that Yet, repositioned in sunlight, they flourish with the tricolon he expresses his critique of the fractured nature of society as a result of a lack of interaction. Furthermore the use of truncated paragraphing throughout the text offers the audience the advantages of a more integrated society.Text 3 - Novel extract4. How are ideas about alienation and isolation explored in the extract? (3 marks)4. Malouf examines the human attribute of alienation and isolation in order to critique the lack of compromise that results in such an outcome. As the persona describes his village when They feed me. They provide a corner where I can sleep. They are not uncivil with anaphora he offers the audience a greater understanding of the connectedness that results in individuals willing to reach a compromise when establishing relationships. Yet If anything, I am ignored, left to my own devices, to wander about the village, with the tricolon presenting the more negative retributions in isolation , a key factor in the Human Condition, when compromise is not offered in relationships. Moreover the synecdoche in the whole village is an armed camp again reinforces the impacts of absences of commitment in social relationships which leads to the marginalisation present in human nature. Therefore it can be seen that Malouf examines the role of compromises as a key feature that affects the human feature of isolationTexts One, Two and Three5. Choose two texts that best explore aspects of human interaction and evaluate how effectively this is conveyed. (6 marks)5. In examining the Human Condition in light of its multi-faceted nature, we come to understand the underlying human desire for social interaction. However it is the factors which drive our need for connection that creates our diversity. Both Text 2 (Opinion Article) and Text 3 (Extract) successfully showcase this concept through the portrayal of the issues of curiosity and fear of isolation as driving factors towards our interconnectedness.Text 2 accentuates upon our curious nature by which we are lured towards establishing social connections as a source of human diversity. The recurring motif of pots in our life can be hard or easy depending upon where the pot in placed presents audiences with visions of our uniqueness in the symbol of the pot as an object containing the unknown. However our diversity is revealed to be dependent upon the ever-present nature of our curiosity in the use of the motif. Furthermore as Glover idolises the Garden of Eden with the intertextual reference we are further officered curiosity as a key factor behind our socialisation which makes us unique. Whilst the garden imagery in splash of watershaft of sunlight again strengthens the parallels between our curiosity and uniqueness in the symbol of a garden a place of exploration.Similarly to how Text 2 focuses upon curiosity as a factor behind our need for connection, Text 3 demonstrates our fear of isolation that drives our interactions and fosters our multiplicity. As the persona [wanders] all day in a dream, the hyperbole creates an atmosphere of apprehension that creates our communication. Yet the grassy imagery in the stubbed fields into the desolate plains suggests that as a result of our forced communication we are a unique species much like grass in to our forms of foliage. The anaphora in They feed me. They provide me with a corner where I sleep. They are not uncivil reflects our repeated interactions formed due to our feats that allows presides over our diversity. Moreover the synecdoche in The whole village is an army camp fosters images of the distinct multiplicity of the human condition as a result of our driven communication. Therefore by examining curiosity and fear as key factors that drive our interaction we can observe that the Human condition is shown as a diverse and unparalleled notion
