Only 1% of the people have voter id card.

5% of the people don’t know how to apply for voter id card.

7% of them think that elections are not conducted fairly.

3% of them were not satisfied with the voting system. They have

suggested some options like;

Appropriate contestant should be there.

Elections should be fairly conducted

There should be no exaggerated promotions.

From this survey we got to know that people are unaware about their rights.

As well as citizens don’t have faith in politicians this is the reason they are least

interested in casting their votes.

This is the sad reality of the nation. Political conditions need to be changed.

And this is the high time when we can change these conditions but only by

casting our valuable vote for the most deserving person.

On 25th of January,2019, On the occasion of National Voters Day, students

along with teachers took pledge to take active participation in the Elections

and will not waste their votes. We pledged to help Indian Democracy build

more strongly and effectively.

A small rally to get was also happened in the college premises and the nearby

areas based on the theme of elections and its importance. In order to involve

the students and know their views on the importance of casting vote, a group

discussion was held in which 35 students actively took part and shared their

views on the same and what can be done to make Indian democracy more

inclusive. With this marked the end of the celebration of National Voter’s Day.

On 16th of February,2019, all the volunteers of SVEEP attended the programme

which was organised by District Election Office (East) on Voter Awareness and

EVM VVPAT Demonstration with Mock Poll at Arts Faculty Ground, DU. The

programme was very lightening and was attended by the Election

Commissioner and other dignified personalities.
