From the Principal’s DeskWith great pleasure I welcome you all to Dyal Singh College. The college, established in 1959, strives to create a supportive and inclusive environment where talented students are encouraged to explore their unawakened potential and achieve their personal best in all aspects of college life.

We, at Dyal Singh College, nurture the idea of holistic personality development of all of our students. Therefore, we give our students an opportunity to take part in different kinds of co-curricular activities organized by the various student societies active in different departments of the college.

Each year, the college produces highly motivated undergraduates who strike a fine balance between academics and extracurricular activities, thereby excelling in multiple fields. With the help of The Placement Cell, under the able mentorship of its Convener, Dr. Neetu Bhattacharya, these multi-talented students further hone their skills to be able to integrate well into various business organizations after placement. Dyal Singh College has always attracted the Best of Recruiters over the years, namely-KPMG, EY, Genpact, NIIT and many more, placing well over 130+ students in 2020-2021. This shows the tremendous potential and growth of our college over the years.

I once again cordially invite the various companies/institutions to our campus to explore the plethora of hidden talent and capabilities that our students have to offer to them.

Annual Report of the Placement Session 2020-21

The Placement Cell has been an integral part for the development of the students of our college. We are honored to have had numerous reputed companies onboard with us. Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, we were able to manage internship and recruitment drives on virtual platforms.

Our regular recruiters include KPMG Global, EY GDS, Grant Thornton, NIIT, Genpact, Wipro, Bajaj Capital, Apeiron Management Pvt. Ltd., Jaro Education, Willis Tower Watson, PwC Actuarials, Universal Data Solutions, Zomato, BYJU’s, FIS Global, etc. This is all owing to the endless efforts put in by our Hon'ble Principal Dr. V. K. Paliwal, our Coordinator Dr. Neetu Bhattacharya and the entire Placement Cell team.

We also thank the students of Dyal Singh College who have shown such a keen interest in the recruitment and internship drives. In the beginning of the academic session, The Placement Cell conducted its annual ORIENTATION PROGRAMME with the aim of imparting knowledge about the cell’s working to the new batch of students and recruiting new members to the team for the session that lies ahead. The session helps the students in planning their future and have distinct career goals. We successfully conducted this session virtually and were able to cater to the large audience that assembled for the same.

GROOMING SESSIONS are an imperative advance of The Placement Cell which are conducted at the beginning of every academic year. These sessions counsel students on far-reaching the indispensable guide to adept recruitments. These sessions help students in getting familiar with various rounds of the selection process that they would have to undergo during the drive. Even during these difficult times, The Placement Cell ensured that students benefit from all the opportunities and experiences that they would have received if working was offline. The conducted webinars and workshops gave students an opportunity to broaden their skills, as well as their understanding of their field of interest that can supplement or complement their field of study. • ADORE India is a community services network of University students and professionals facilitating learning opportunities to students so that they grow as successful professionals and responsible citizens.

• ADORE India conducted a workshop dedicated to our college students to guide them embark their career journey into their professional life. The aim of this workshop was to help students focus on professional development, improving skills and gaining knowledge that will help them to find success in their career. Year 2020-21 seems to be unlike any other year—for campus placements, jobs and salaries for the graduating batch due pandemic where

unemployment rate was at its peak and everything was happening online, I wasn't actually expecting anything from campus

placement but turns out to be wrong and I got placed in my very first campus placement drive

that too in one of the big 4s company. And for this I would like to appreciate the placement cell

of our college for the efforts they made. They started grooming us for placements before placement begins, they organized various

sessions and provided us with their docket which encouraged me to excel in my interview.

Not only this they also provided a fair and ample amount of chances to us students. They've made efforts ensuring maximum number of students

get placed. Thank you all for being so helpful supportive, and friendly throughout this process.
