ANNUAL REPORT 2019HIGHLIGHTS
Promoting dignity and growth for people with disabilities and mental health needs
our Mission
Placing a family member or loved one in the care of others is not something done without trepidations or fear. However, once family members or advocates make the choice to utilize the services of Systems Unlimited Inc., most trepidations or fears they may have initially had are quickly relinquished. They see firsthand the quality of care their loved one receives and the focus on individualized services which promotes respect and dignity for each person served. Based on the responses from people served and their family members, we are confident that our agency sets the bar for Eastern Iowa, the state and our country in terms of the quality of care we provide and the proven progress that people in our programs make.
Of course, we are constantly striving to make our agency more responsive to people’s needs and to foster relationships and create environments where everyone in the Systems family feels valued. This includes our amazing staff of over 1,000 dedicated professionals throughout Eastern Iowa.
People with intellectual and developmental disabilities are people first, and we are committed to making sure each and everyone of them has meaningful opportunities to be actively engaged in their communities.
Please enjoy our annual report and the highlights of 2019 and thank you for your support of Systems Unlimited, Inc!

• Strengthened our partnership with the University of Iowa through collaboration with the nursing school to offer practicum hours, tours with medical students interested in the disability community and participation in student dissertation and grant-funded research in several University departments.
• Invested in our community through informational presentations at the University of Iowa, setting-up booths at craft fairs and other events to improve our name recognition
