OUR MISSIONST. CLEMENT’S SCHOOL DEVELOPS

OUTSTANDING

WOMEN WHO ARE INTELLECTUALLY CURIOUS,

COURAGEOUS, AND COMPASSIONATE.

During the 2014-2015 school year, someone asked me, “Why does the world need more Clementines?” I was confident in my response: it is because of the attributes our girls develop while at St. Clement’s School. Every day, I witness our girls displaying courage, compassion, and curiosity. To me, these are the unmistakable markers of the Clementine spirit. Thanks to your generous support, we are able to provide the facilities and unparalleled programming that help foster an environment where our girls thrive. Your contributions add to the strong foundation of our School, and your continued support will ensure its sustainability and allow us to enrich the lives of future Clementines.

I would like to thank you for being part of our St. Clement’s community and for supporting us financially, for offering gifts of your time, and for sharing your talents. Martha Perry ’85Principal

On behalf of my fellow Board members, I want to extend a very heartfelt thank you to everyone who has supported St. Clement’s School over the past year.

The word support, in the context of St. Clement’s, means many things:

• It is the vote of confidence you give the School through your recommendation to a friend or colleague who is looking for a school for his or her daughter;

• It is the time out of your busy day that you so willingly give to volunteer at the School; and

• It is the financial gift you make to enrich current programming, to address capital needs and to provide financial aid.

It is also the smiles and conversations you share with fellow parents, our alumnae, our girls, and our staff.

Reflecting on the past year, I am proud of how our community has stepped forward to ensure that our Clementines can continue to grow as curious, courageous and compassionate young women. Our world needs more Clementines, and your generous and continued support allows St. Clement’s to continue in this mission.

Thank you.

THE ANNUAL FUND

It was my great pleasure to chair the 2014-2015 Annual Fund for St. Clement’s School. Because of

the generous support of parents, alumnae, staff, and other members of our community, we were able to raise 118% of our fundraising goal. I’m very proud of how this incredible result had, and will continue to have, an impact on our girls.

Year after year, contributions to the Annual Fund Campaign help to enhance offerings at St. Clement’s School, allowing for current success and future growth. From classroom tools, guests, workshops and exciting spaces that enrich learning to our Scholarship program— your support helps to define the SCS experience for our girls.

Every gift made to the Annual Fund, regardless of its amount, is important and makes a difference. Gifts provide funding for essential needs at SCS and make a lasting impact on the students, staff, and the wider SCS community.

If you were one of the many donors to the 2014-2015 Annual Fund Campaign, I thank you and commend you for stepping forward to support current and future generations of amazing Clementines! Cindy LeechChair, Annual Fund 2014-2015Parent of Grace Leech ’23

Parent of a scholarship recipient

Last year was my first year at St. Clement’s [School] and I was warmly welcomed into a spirited community. St. Clement’s has been the perfect school for me. I have learned many things and made many new friends. I am very thankful for the opportunities the School has given me. PARENTS’ ASSOCIATION

The Parents’ Association works to support the School by focusing on three key areas: fundraising, community building, and co-curricular activities.

Our fundraising events include Marché and Pizza Lunches, the Snowflake Sale, and Used Uniform and Textbook sales. The Welcome Coffee, Welcome BBQ, Parent Socials, and Parent/Daughter events are just a few of our community-building events. Our co-curricular support includes Open Houses, the Debating Tournament and Community Day.

In 2014-2015, the PA hosted an Interguild Networking Event, a first for St. Clement’s, and offered financial support to the new East Gym, Powell Hall Stage Extension and many other school and student initiatives.

On behalf of the 2014-2015 Parents’ Association Executive I would like to thank all of the parents for not only their financial support, but for the countless volunteer hours they contributed to make the year such a success.

ALUMNAE ASSOCIATION

For the last four years I have had the honour to serve as the President of the Alumnae Association, representing an incredible group of women who have passed through the halls of St. Clement’s School and gone on to follow some truly remarkable and inspiring dreams. My role has helped me stay connected with our community, and each event and committee meeting reminds me what a special place SCS was for me as a student, and still is today, as an alumna.

The Alumnae Association Executive constantly strives to foster a more engaged alumnae community by organizing events, networking opportunities and our always highly anticipated Reunion Weekend. Thank you to each and every member of the Alumnae Association Executive and our Committees for your time and service. My warmest thanks goes to all the SCS Alumnae who continue to support the School with your time and donations. We know better than anyone what a special place St. Clement’s is, and it is our support that will help to ensure its future growth and success.
