The calendar does not deceive – it has been an exhilarating six year ride at the Devils Lake Chamber of Commerce. I appreciate all of you here today supporting and investing in the Devils Lake Area Chamber of Commerce.

I can now say unequivocally that the Devils Lake Chamber has found its voice, its place, and its reason. And it’s done so without abandoning its dedication to the business community of the Lake Region. This will be the Chambers 93rd Annual meeting.

We invite you to get involved and get to know your fellow business owner, community leaders, and colleagues while we work together to make Devils Lake and our community a better place.

The Devils Lake Area Chamber of Commerce gives local businesses, professionals, and individuals an opportunity to work together in building a stronger community through community activities, fundraising, and outreach. The Devils Lake Chamber has an unwavering devotion to the people of the Lake Region and their future.

Arik Spencer is the president and CEO of the Greater North Dakota Chamber (GNDC), the state’s Chamber of Commerce and premier business advocacy organization representing more than 1,000 members in the promotion and support of policies and initiatives to ensure North Dakota’s business climate is the best in the nation.

Spencer has extensive experience in public policy development, advocacy, program development, and event management. Prior to joining GNDC, he had served for five years as the executive vice president of the North Dakota Motor Carriers Association, the trade association for North Dakota’s trucking industry. Earlier in his career, he was a division manager for the North Dakota Department of Parks and Recreation where he specialized in public policy and alternative transportation issues.

Spencer is a lifelong North Dakotan who received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Mary. He and his wife, Wendy, live in Bismarck and are the parents of three children.
