(a) M/S NR Builder Case is going on in the court of Sh Kulbhushan Kumar, Civil Judge (Jr Division) Fazilka. Last Date of hearing was 07 Aug 2015. Next date of hearing is 24 Sep 2015. Current Status. Affidavit on behalf of school has been filed for the submission of documents. (b) Mohit Vinayak and Sakshi Vinayak Case is going on in the count of Mr Neeraj Goyal, Civil Judge (Jr Division) Fazilka. Last Date of hearing was 13 Aug 2015. Next date of hearing is 04 Sep 2015.

Current Status. Written statement on behalf of APS Fazilka was filed on 08 May 2015 in response to the suit. The plaintiff was to file a written statement on 02 July 2015 which was not done by them.

(a) A comprehensive SOP specific to the school accounts be made covering all vital aspects of financial dealing eg procurement/purchase, issue of cheques, financial powers etc. The SOP be pasted at the front page of the cash columnar book. (b) Photostat copies of FD’s be also pasted on first page of the cash columnar book. (c) Scanning of important minute sheets of high value sanctions be done and preserved with the principal as a matter of security.

(d) PV, RV files and the minute sheets files be docketed as per correct SD. (e) Ceiling of petty cash may be revised by SAMC however laid down ceiling should be adhered to.

(f) ASTB for the current year has been carried out.

(g) Quarterly audit boards have been done in detail and points obs have been rectified.

8. Inspecting Officer's Remarks. (a) As per info mentioned on para 1, 2, 6 & 7, only academically sound civil students are considered for admission in APS Fazilka. No admission to children of Army personnel’s has been denied.

(b) The school has been asked to reduce the no of civil students:- (i) The ratio of civil students has been brought down from 73% to 66.34% (Session 2015-2016) as compared to the last session (Session 2014-15). (ii) The school should make concerted efforts to bring down the str of civil students further to the prescribed ratio gradually.

5. Inspecting officer's remarks. Regarding automation of library and appropriateness of

newspapers and magazines being subscribed by the school.

(a) Library is well stocked and automated. (b) Presently there are 6847 reference, fiction and text books.

(c) A well stocked library in the staffroom may also be created.

Laboratories.

6. State of Laboratories. Phy, Chemistry, Bio, Biotech, Math, IT, History, Geog, Language (English) Lab and any other.

(a) Biology Laboratory. The Biology lab is well equipped with models, charts, specimens, etc. (b) Chemistry Laboratory. The chemistry lab of the school is well equipped with the apparatus/ instruments, models and charts as per the CBSE norms. (c) Physics Laboratory. Well-equipped newly constructed Physics lab with latest apparatus/ instruments as per CBSE’s norms like Transistor Characteristics, Zener Diode Apparatus, p-n Junction Diode Apparatus etc. Science Labs are kept updated and well maintained throughout the session. (d) Mathematics Laboratory. As per instructions of AWES & CBSE, school is having well equipped Mathematics laboratory. Students of class I to XII visit Maths Lab for projects. Abacus is very helpful in teaching, counting of large numbers to the students. (e) Social Science. Army Public School, Fazilka has well equipped social science laboratory. Social Science laboratory has been established with an aim to make the teaching and learning of social science more interesting and practical. The features of the lab are as under: (i) Maps are available on every topic.

(ii) Blank maps for practice and to locate selected items/specific areas are also available. (iii) Students have prepared models on different topics. It enhances their creativity as well as understanding power.

(f) English Communication Laboratory. English language laboratory is well equipped with latest gadgets and software. The Software of listen disc -1 and 2 and ‘Speak Fluently’ installed in English lab is of immense help in enhancing the communication skills of the students and faculty.

(g) Computer Laboratories. Army Public School has two computer labs i.e Senior Computer Lab (for VI to XII classes students) and Junior Computer Lab (for I to V classes students).

(i) Laboratory for Senior Section. Senior Lab is well equipped with one server machine having 28 clients (10 new clients were added in session 2014-15) and two AC’s. Internet facility is being provided to students. One Intel Server is added and the networking of Lab is upgraded with new switches. Sr. Comp Lab was upgraded in the session 2014-15.Details of newly installed equipments are as follows:-

(ii) Laboratory for Primary Section. Junior Lab is equipped with 20 computers, Internet facility and 2 air conditioner. Thin client technology is being used in junior computer lab Jr Comp Lab was upgraded in the session 2014-15. Details of newly installed equipment’s are as follows:-

(h) Herbal Garden. The school has well maintained herbal garden near sports

ground. 20 types of Medicinal plants along with seasonal and ornamental plants are planted in the garden. The root and shoot club of the school takes care of the herbal garden. It is decorated with best out of waste. Students are frequently taken to the herbal garden to sensitize them about the global warming and environmental issues.

Science park of the school creates an additional interest among the students for science and consists of 17 gadgets in total. These gadgets make the learning of science very easy. These gadgets help the students of classes I to XII to clear their concepts. Different gadgets of Science Park are as follows:-
