INTRODUCTION:

Integrated Tribal Shining Society (ITSS) is a Non-Political, non-sectarian and non-profit making organization

dedicated to the cause of societal development.

Since inception, the organization has been dedicating all its effort for the welfare of the people in the

field of Education, Health, Culture, Re-habilitation works, Vocational Training, Welfare service for the aged

restitutes. The year 2017-18, the organization conducted many programme during the year. Speaking on the

achievement of the organization, the Secretary Sri Priya Kr. Deuri presented the progress report in the Annual

General Meeting of the Society held on 03rd Jun 2018 at Dhenudhara Pather (Chotrong Guri), Gohpur Dist.-

Biswanath, Assam, India. We appreciated the efforts of the members and volunteers of the organization and

expressed satisfaction over the progress to the organization.

The Organization Structure of the Integrated Tribal Shining Society (ITSS) NGO is based on a system as mentioned

below:-

Governing Body/ Executive Committee:-



The Executive Committee is solemnly responsible for the management operation and mainly for successful

implementation of development programmes. The Executive Committee also delegating it’s powers to the programme

implementation committees helping for successful implementation of the development programmes of ITSS. The

Governing Body of ITSS is comprises of Eleventh Executive Members nominated or selected (elected) by the General

Body.

Advisory Broad:-

The Advisory Broad Comprise of Executive Members, ITSS programme coordinators and selected persons associated

with ITSS in different projects. The Advisory Broad meeting held every month at the premises of ITSS to review the

ongoing projects of ITSS and how they can be made more effective focusing of people participation and result oriented.

The Advisory Broad Member keeps the right to ask for any document/explanation from ITSS programme coordinator Time

to time. As soon as after the decision right to attitude for action the organization will be organized any programme for as

development.

The following activities have been undertaken by ITSS during the period 2017-18

ACTIVITIES:

1. Name of the Activity : S.H.G & Promoting Programme

Date of programme : 29th April 2017

Location : Dangtala M.E. School, Gohpur

No. of Participants :145 No.

Description of Programme

The Society of ITSS has been made during the year 2017-18, Created

55 new SHG groups at Balijan Panchayat, under Pub-Chiduar Block

of Sonitpur District (Assam). A training programme (Skill Upgradtion

Training, Booking keeping for accounting with saving) has been

providing to these Self Help Groups about their operation trough Mr.

R.S. Talukdar, B.D.M, NABARD, Sonitpur, Assam and the Secretary

of the Voluntary Organisation volunteered to impart training on SHGs

operation.

2. Name of the Activity Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) Training

Date of programme : 20th May 2017

Location : Barangabari, SIRD, Gohpur

No. of Participants : 100 No.

Resource person/Sponsored by : Dr. Jibanta Bhuyan, SIRD, Sonitpur


Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) is an approach used

by ITSS (NGOs) and Sponsored by SIRD (Skill Development

Training Centers) involved 100 nos. people

in community development. The approach aims to incorporate the

knowledge and opinions of rural people in the planning and

management of development projects and programs. This tool is



also used for data collection. Besides its an eclectic situational style

(the humble, learning outsider) than a method.

3.Name of the Activity Fisheries Programme

Date of programme : 20 Jun 2017

Location : Head Office of ITSS

No. of Participants : 62 no.

Fishery Farm can be very important source of income generation for the people of Assam. There are many source

of income from the Fishary Farm for the young generation as their income generation. The Organization has been

conducted that how to get this opportunity under the Govt. Sheme and working under the guidance of Mr. Hemanta

Hazarika (Dept. of Fishery,) for promotion fishery and breeding and hatching of good quality fish and explained to the

people the importance and use of Pisciculture & Fishery promotion programme.

4. Name of the Activity Women Empowerment Programme

Date of programme :1st July 2017

Location : :SIRD, Barangabari, Gohpur

No. of Participant :150 No.

ITSS NGO organized Woman Empowerment Programme under Social

Mobilization Activities at rural area to mobilise women in small viable

groups and make facilities available through training and access to

credit, to provide training for skill up gradation, etc. Woman

Empowerment Programme is to increase the self-reliance and autonomy

of women by enhancing their productivity and enabling them to take up

income generation activities. To promote or undertake activities for the

promotion of or to provide credit as an instrument of socio- economic

change and development through the provision of a package of financial

and social development services for the development of women.

5. Name of the Activity Donation Programme for Relief on Flood area

Date of programme :16th July 2017

Location : :Luhitmukh, Rajabari, Gohpur, Assam

ITSS NGO organized a donation programme , whose families have lost

their houses, loved ones and have no work. Flood affected Individuals

and families have no access to food grains and kitchens, thus are going

hungry for days. To provide these families relief, ITSS-NGO tried to

sending food relief packets. We, ITSS has collect some cash money

& foods items well as some FMCG type products/packets e.g. rice,

dal, ingredients, vitamins etc. from well-wishes and local donors

for distribute among the flood effected peoples, were that here

distribute 12,000 food packets to families and villages in the worst

affected areas of village under Luhitmukh and Rajabari, Gohpur, Assam



6. Name of the Activity : Computer Awarness Programme Date of programme : 5th Augusta 2017 Location : Office of ITSS No. of Participants : 42 no. Resource person : Priya Kr Deuri, The Secreatry of ITSS


The organization has been conducting Computer Training in

collaboration with M/s PKD Enterpise. The organization has been

providing training on computers data entry and data form filling as his

income source project and information technology to the 42 numbers of

students by the Secretary & trained expert staffs of the organization.

7.Name of the Activity Handloom & Weaving Training programme

Date of programme : 1st September 2017

Location : Office of ITSS

The organization has been conducting Handloom & Modern machinery weaving training Programme at ITSS office. The organization providing training on various type of weaving & handloom textile industry projects that how to print design and customized the cloths weaving etc. with design to the unemployment youth in 3 months course for free as well help to set up a unit of Screen Printing at his own Local Area. 8. Name of the Activity : Education programme Date of programme : 22nd October 2017 Location : Chaiduar College, Gohpur No. of Participant :. 94 No. Resource person : Mrs. Sawpna Kakati


The organization has been conducting crash course for class X and XII students appearing for their board exam. The

organization providing question sample and suggestion to the students by the trained & expert staffs of the organization.

The center charges minimum fees from the trainees to meet the maintenance expenses and room rent etc. Mrs. Sawpna

Kakati, (Lecturer of Chaiduar College) has delivered her positive direction and commitment to student.

9. Name of the Activity Women Empowerment Programme

The firmly believes that if the women are slaves, the men will no longer be

free and with the objective of empowering the women, the Organization

had started income generating activities and other welfare programmes.

The organization at present mainly emphasizes handloom & handicrafts

works, SHG promotion and stabilization, seminars, etc. for self

sustainability and shouldering the responsibility of a family.

10 Name of the Activity : Sanitation Awareness Programme

The organization has been conducting Total S+anitary Programme at

Sonitpur District. The organization providing low cost Latrine House to the

BPL beneficiary. The I.T.S.S. Social Volunteers Organisation had

organized that Awareness Programme and involved 230 Numbers of BPL

family and collected the beneficiary share of Rs.300/- to start latrine

construction by the organization through PHC Deptt.

The Organization organized an Income Generation

Programe for unemployment youth under SIRD sponsored programme that on Piggery farm, Fishery farm, Bee Keeping Plan, Tree Plantation Plan, Computer DTP Unit etc. through Joint Liability Swabalambi Group, Self Help Group and the organization has been provided that how to form a New SHG or JLSG under SIRD and how to get capacity

building programme under organization.

The Society has been made during the year 2017-18, has been trained computerized Embroidery and Machinery Embroidery as well as Modern technology weaving system training for 3 months course training under ITSS Weaving and Embroidery Industry Unit to 35 no. unemployment

youths. A training programme (Skill Upgradtion Training) has been providing to these youths for free under National Small Industries Corporation Inc. (NSIC),Bamunimaidum, Ghy as sponsored progarmme.
