The papers in this volume were presented at the Brain Tumor Symposium, held in Columbus, Ohio, in Oct. 1970.

The volume contains articles concerning the following topics in brain research : experimental tumor models, biological characteristics of glioma in tissue cultures, metabolic activities of glioma, recent progress in chemotherapy and radiation of gliomas and the activity of the blood-brain barrier in neoplasia.

Most of the articles are very instructive and many fields are covered. There is something for almost everyone who has an interest in brain tumor research. The book closes with a panel discussion and a summary.

Muscle spasticity is an intriguing problem in many aspects, adequate treatment has yet ot be introduc- ed. This book contains 21 papers with discussions, read during an international symposium, held in Vienna in april 1971, on the subject of spasticity. Many authors report the results with trials of the skeletalmuscle relaxant Lioresal (CmA 34, 647-Ba).
