Two seminars organized by the Directors of the Course will Integrate and complete the scientific programme.

General information

Persons wishing to attend the course should write to:

They should specify:

i) date and place of birth, together with present nationality; ii) degree and other academic qualifications;

iii) present position and place of work and current research activities;

and include:

iv) a letter of recommendation from their research group leader or from another senior scientist active in the field;

v) a list of graduate courses attended (if applicant is a graduate student); vi) a list of publications (optional).

The total fee, including full board and lodging (arranged by the School), is US $ 400. Thanks to the generosity of the supporting Institution, partial support for living and travel expenses can be given to some deserving students. This must be specified and justified in the application letter.

Closing date for application: March 31, 1980

No special application form is required

A letter will be sent to successful applications by April 10, 1980. Admission to the School will be decided by a committee consisting of

Professors D. Mainardi (Director of the School), G. Rizzolatti and C.A. Umilta (Directors of the Course) and A. Zichichi (Director of the Centre).

The participants must be in Erice on May 19 no later than 5 p.m.

CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS Paper and posters

Submit: (a) Title and abstract page (4 copies) (b) Author, title and Abstract page (1 copy)

Title and abstract page: The author(s) name(s) should not be on this page. Abstracts must be typed and are limited to 150 words in length. Four copies should be submitted.

Author, title and Abstract Page: Author(s), name(s), affiliation(s), title of paper, and the abstract (limited to 150 words) should be typed on this page for publication in the INS Bulletin and in the meeting programme. One copy should be submitted.

Indicate choice of platform or poster session, or either one. Up to 15 mi­nutes will be allowed for platform papers and a full morning or afternoon for poster papers.

Symposia Submit: Four copies of the proposal, which may be up to four pages in

length. The proposal should include the names, affiliations, and addresses of all speakers, the name of the organizer and the address for correspondence. It is the responsibility of the organizer to ensure that all speakers have agreed to attend and to participate. Each symposium will last 2 hours.

Closing date for submissions: 31 December 1979 (Membership in Society is not a requirement)
