The Leeuwenhorst Congress Centre in Noordwijkerhout, between Amster- dam and Leiden, 4 kilometers from the Northsea coast, will accommodate the 3rd Congress of the E.S.C.P.B. All rooms for lectures and poster pre- sentations, all hotel and restaurant facilities are provided by the Leeuwen- horst Congress Centre.
C O N T R I B U T I O N S
The prospective contributions consist of invited lectures, posters, round- tables, lectures and discussions on selected applied aspects. Each day no more than two subjects will receive preferent attention.
Posters will be considered for acceptation if related to the subjects of the conference. Free-subject posters will be considered for acceptation. The organizers will then apply the following criteria: e.g. interest for compara- tive physiology; novelty; possibilities to relate the results with applica- tions; etc. etc.
Abstracts of one or two pages per poster can be published in an abstract volume (Pergamon Press).
Poster sessions and round-tables are a.o. designed to provide some opportunity for short oral presentation.
Deadline for poster-application and the abstracts: April 1, 1981.

REGISTRATION
The congress fees are Dfl. 175,-- for E.S.C.P.B.members or Dfl. 250,-- for non- E.S.C.P.B.-members. All fees must reach our account before April 1, 1981. Registration later than April 1,1981 will cost Dfl. 225,-- for E.S.CP.B. members and Dfl. 300,-- for n o n . E . S . C . P . B . . m e m b e r s .
The fee includes: all congress activities, an abstracts book and conference documents. The congress centre provides rooms plus all meals, beverages and conferen- ce accommodation. The following arrangements are available:

Registrants can order the proceedings volume at US$ 25/Dfl. 55,-- if paid before April 1, 1981 and US$ 30/Dfl. 65,-- if ordered and paid between April 1 and September 3, 1981. After September 3, 1981 the proceedings volume is available for members through the office of the E.S.C.P.B. in Liege at US$ 40 or from Pergamon Press through your book retailer at US$ 60. An additional abstracts volume can be ordered at US$ 20/Dfl. 40,-- if paid before April 1, 1981.
All money-transfers for the congress should be made by bank transfer to RABO-Bank, Naarden-Bussum, Netherlands, account nr. 34.37.48.800 to the name of 3rd European Congress of E.S.C.P.B. Payments must be made: Net amount in Dutch Florins. Your name and address should be mentioned clearly with the transfer,
FINANCIAL AID FOR YOUNG SCIENTISTS
To a limited number of young, fully participating, scientists a grant may be provided. Fully participating is, at minimum, a poster presentation. Applications, through the head of the research department must reach the congress' secretariat prior to April 1, 1981. Valid applications include the completed registration form, the transfer of the conference fee plus ac- commodation fee to bank account 34.37.48.800 of RABO-Bank, Naarden- Bussum, ultimately April 1, 1981. In the month of May the applicants will be informed about the heigth of the grants.
EXCURSIONS:
The congress commitee will not directly organize excursions. However, excursions to e.g.: Amsterdam, The Hague, Gouda, Leiden, the new pol- ders under construction, Rotterdam and Europoort, Aalsmeer flower mar- ket, the Westland greenhouse flower- and fruit growing district and -farms including visiting market and farm, are possible. The possibility of offering suitable assistance is prepared. Of specific interest we mention the renowned yearly Amsterdam flower parade on Saturday, September 5, 1981.
