1Determination of size B

Size B is the distance sealing surface of gear

housing to contact surface of bearing outer

race in gear housing.

2Determination of size A

1. Put measuring device 153.00074911

onto retarder housing.

2. Tighten the 4 hexagon bolts M10x40 with

10 Nm.

3. Rotate retarder input shaft clockwise 15

turns and counter clockwise 15 turns.

4. Measure from the upper edge of

measuring device to the gauge slide

using the digital depth gauge.

5. Size A = H - measured size

Note: Size H is engraved on measuring

device (see arrow)

6. Remove measuring device from retarder.

3Calculation of compensatingspacer

Size B - size A - 0.02mm
