LAWS

1. A person cannot purposely leave an animal without a plan for someone else taking care of it.

2. A person cannot cause physical injury to an animal (hit, kick, punch, etc.).

3. A person cannot cause serious or severe injury to an animal or kill their animal.

4. A person cannot torture an animal just for fun.

5. No animal fighting set up by people for “fun or beating”.

• First responsibilities as a human being is to name the animals

• G-d protects animals against unduly cruel slaughter by banning the practice of cutting a limb off a living animal

• Judaism permits not only the slaughter of animals for food, but also the use of animals to perform other tasks
