    As spring has sprung, the Leesburg Animal Park welcome seven new additions. Four lambs,two baby goats and a Sicilian donkey foal were born at the park in the past month.

    Spring is an exciting time of year for us at the animal park, the baby animals are so muchfun to interact with, for our customers and the animal keepers, Shirley Johnson, director ofthe park said in a statement.

    The park expects to welcome more baby animals including ducklings, chicks, calves andpiglets in the coming months.

    Occasionally, our spring babies are born during the day while our customers are visiting thepark, which is an unforgettable experience for our guests, Nicola Alicandro, park mangersaid in a statement.

    The Leesburg Animal Park opens March 17. Activities at the park include animal petting andfeeding, exotic animal exhibits, pony rides and wagon rides. This year, the park is offering anew Explorer wagon ride that allows guests to feed the animals from the wagon.

    Special events planned this season include an Easter Egg Hunt on April 7th and 8th, monthlyfishing derbies and Spring Animal Fest where visitors can help shear sheep or llamas.

    The Leesburg Animal Park is located 2 miles south of Leesburg on Route 15 at 19270 JamesMonroe Highway. Hours of operation are Tuesday throughThursday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Friday

    to Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $8.50 for children, ages 2 and under are free,$10.50 for adults and $6.50 for pre-scheduled school groups of 15 or more. Visitleesburganimalpark.com for more information.
