Accordingly, APLDA was registered under AP (Telangana Areas)Public Registrations Act, 1350 Fasli with registration No: 7146 of1999 dated: 13.10.1999.

The Government have appointed the Chairman & ExecutiveCommittee members for the first time in GO Ms No: 85, dated:2.8.1999.

Registered under Societies Registration Act during 1999 with theJurisdiction of 23 Districts

As per AP Reorganization Act 2014, APLDA categorized in TenthSchedule.

As per AP Societies Registration Act, The EC & General Bodyresolved for division of APLDA into APLDA and Telangana StateLivestock Development Agency (TSLDA).

APLDA and TSLDA are functioning separately.

APLDA is having jurisdiction of 13 Districts of A.P. State

Objectives of APLDA

• To Improve the productivity of cattle andbuffaloes in the State through geneticimprovement.

• To Organize supply of quality inputs requiredfor Artificial Insemination including cold chain.

• To restructure Bovine Breeding operations inthe State and re-cycle fee for development.

• To provide door-step AI services to the farmersthrough trained rural youth i.e. Gopalamitras.

STATUS OF APLDA IN THE COUNTRY

APLDA is the first State Implementing Agencyregistered under the project NPCBB.

AP is recording highest number of inseminationsin Buffaloes and second in overall inseminations.

AP is consistently producing highest number ofFrozen Semen Straws under Government Sector

All the three FSBSs & Andrology Lab are wellequipped & have ISO Certification.

All the breeding bulls are maintained as per theMSP prescribed by the GOI.

During the year 2015-16, the CMU evaluated twoFSBSs and One graded as ‘A’ .
