A MESSAGE FROM OUR PASTOR

A parish community dedicated to “living and sharing

the joy of the Gospel.”

A MESSAGE FROM OUR PASTOR

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

On behalf of all the clergy and the pastoral staff, I would like to extend to you the warmest of Easter Greetings. Jesus is risen, he is truly risen. Let our Alleluias rise to the heavens!

It feels rather unnatural to celebrate Easter in a virtual way this year. We normally gather together in our church to celebrate the resurrection of the Lord and to share the joy and meaning of this Paschal event. This year, we are limited to the confines of our homes. Perhaps, it is to those nearest and closest to us that exuberant joy should first be shared. After all, the first ones to believe and proclaim the resurrection of Jesus were his friends and family. In that sense, it is natural to celebrate Easter with just those who are in your homes. And so, Easter Joy should fill your homes and warm the hearts of those immediately around you.

The message of Easter is always hope in the midst of despair, life in the midst of death. When we thought that everything was all over and done with, God found a way. As we continue to stay at home, as cases and deaths continue to happen, let us soak ourselves in the radiant hope that Easter provides. God will find a way to get us out of this mess and into the promised land. It may be hard to imagine, but be assured that God will return us to life, even give us a new one! God and his abundant gift of life will be the final word. Laughter and merrymaking will soon be heard in the land!

Finally, I would like to thank our staff for their work during this unprece-dented time. I also would like to thank each and every one of you, our beloved parishioners, for your continued sacrificial support of St. Cecilia. I am sure that God will continue to bless our parish and gift all of us with Easter hope and joy!

To all of you and your loved ones, Happy Easter!

Sincerely in Christ,

Fr. Francis Macatangay

WAYS OF GIVING

There are many different ways to support the min-istries of St. Cecilia, but when you plan a gift as part of your overall es-tate and financial plans, you will help us build a foundation on which we can continue our work of spreading God’s love to all people for generations to come. In addition, with your gift, you could also receive substantial tax and financial benefits.

IN-PARISH TUITION DISCOUNT

March 31 was the originally scheduled deadline for currently enrolled families to submit their In-Parish Tuition Discount Request form. Due to all of the challenges and changes over the last few weeks, the deadline is being extended to Tuesday, April 14th.

If you already submit-ted your in-parish tuition discount form for next school year you should have received a con-firmation email for your form submission.

The easiest way to find that is to search your email inbox for the sub-ject line

“Verification form for in-parish tuition dis-count request (2020)”

(the email sender for this email will also be

[email protected]).

If you have already submitted the form, there is nothing else you need to do at this point. If you did not yet complete the form, here is the link - http://bit.ly/2GsSxFs

COMMUNITY FRIENDS

This time of social distancing can eas-ily become a time of social isolation for many of our fellow parishioners. Here at St. Cecilia we want to pro-vide an opportunity for parishioners to connect with each other. We have created a process, which we will con-tinue to adjust as necessary. We are currently planning until the end of April, then we will adjust. So, if you

1) know of someone who might need social support2) might want social support yourself or 3) are willing to reach out to a fellow St Cecilia parishioner
