Page 1: Ancillary Task 2 Deconstructions

Article Title:Name of the film, draws in the attention of the audience who want to know about the film.

Pull Quote: By bringing the quote out of the text in bigger font, it allows the audience to read it first and become intrigued and then want to read on about it.

Main Image:The main image for the double magazine page is an image of the set of ‘I Am Legend’, showing Will Smith as the actor, and the camera men and other people in the background. The Main image covers about ¾ of the double page which helps grabs the audience attention.

Main Text:The start of the text is set out in bigger, blue font, keeping to the blue theme of the text boxes and the colour of the text on the title. The main text is set out in one large column, and then two smaller columns carrying on to the next page.

Bubble:Small extra piece of text adding more detail about the movie. Continues the blue theme.

Main Image:The main image/s for the double magazine page is a few images taken out of the ‘Avatar’ movie. This is used like the first magazine deconstruction, to draw in attention off people who like, or would like to see the film.

Article Title:Name of the film, just like the first deconstruction, is used to draw in the attention of the audience who want to know about the film. The box is red which follows the colour theme of the magazine as red box and white font has been used numerous times on this page.

Main Text:The start of the text is set out in bigger, just like the first deconstruction. The main text is set out in two medium sized columns and has the theme of black text box with white text.

Article Title:Name of the film, just like the first and second deconstruction, is used to draw in the attention of the audience who want to know about the film. The box bright blue and the text is block black, which sets the theme of this page as the colours continue

Masthead:The name of the magazine to remind the readers where this story comes from.

Main Image:The main for this magazine covers the full first page of the double page. This draws in attention of the movie by using a large image to attract the audience, just like the first and second deconstruction.

Main Text:Just like the second deconstruction, the main text is set in two columns.

Pull Quote:Just like the first deconstruction, this magazine uses a pull quote to attract the audience into reading a hint of the story, and to try intrigue them into reading on.

Unlike the other two deconstruction, this magazine uses an end column telling the readers what else is in the magazine, and other movies that they might be interested in.
