Ancient Copper Coins jwr47

Analyzing the following 24 coins I applied the search options of the web and I rather comfortablysearched for the standard prices for most of these items. The web even warned me if a scarceelement had been reported.

Some of the coins had to be identified in a standard catalog of world coins. I sed the !available"#$%# edition to identify the &razilian coins of 2'(4' )eis* which did not provide a readable year.

The reported photographs allowed me to compare the state of my coins against the offered priceclasses. This seemed to be a fine method to find the vale for a collection of coins.

+hotographing the ,otha -oin seemed to be difficlt* as the coin had been polished almost blan. Astrange* colored layer* seemed to be covering a perfectly polished plate. /specially the rear sidelooed lie a photographic emlsion of an ancient dagerreotype photographic plate. 0y scanner !woring with bleish light" did not react to this color pattern and 1decided to consider this as a1gray pictre.

The coin has been made of %i&&on* an alloy of sally copper and silver. I thoght the silver mayhave prodced a protective layer over the worn3off coin srface. This silver layer may eventallyhave developed a photographic image jst lie a dagerreotype photograph* which might have beenone of the first !nintentionally prodced" dagerreotypes.

The protective layer has been damaged at the letter 1 in 1,roschen* which may been inspectedin the following photograph5
