AnaTex – a thin high-tech material in which a urethane membrane has been bonded between layers of lycra and shiny terry. More durable than other lamination processes, thus creating a brace with a longer life , without lining separation. Tested by elite athletes under rigorous conditions for effectiveness and durability, AnaTex has been found to outlast equivalent neoprene products.

At less than 1mm thick, braces made with AnaTex are extremely lightweight and comfortable to wear. The material also wicks away perspiration. AnaTex is less stretchy than AnaPrene and will result in a snugger fit.

AnaPrene – a closed cell perforated neoprene with a comfortable plush lined interior is available in 3mm or 5mm and may be custom chosen in a variety of nylon colours. Although 3mm is the most popular, 5mm offers greater durability and support for the high-end athlete or larger patient.

AnaTex is available in black only. Like AnaPrene, AnaTex is a synthetic, latex-free material. All accessories and straps are only available in beige or black thus all supports other than beige are manufactured with black accessories, unless otherwise requested. * not all accessories are latex free

Most AnaPrene or AnaTex knee braces may be custom ordered with the buttress to suit their patients’ requirements. Choose between our intrinsic foam, ½” neoprene cord or shock absorbing gel buttress.

Velcro closure may be added to either top or bottom of thebrace for easier fitting. It should be noted that some compression islost over a regular sleeve.INDICATIONS

This option relieves the bunching that can occur with many kneebraces in the popliteal area. It should be noted that it does tend to lessenthe pressure on the patella thus losing a little control.

These straps surround the patella thus applying addedpressure for greater control of patella tracking.

Helical strapsHelical straps

These straps apply added pressure to the menisci. Asthey go around the knee they are also useful where there is adegree of rotation in the knee.

Anatech will create custom sized patterns for many of our manufactured items for your patient who does not fit into our standard size chart. You may also choose from a variety of options and additions including our mesh cubital cut-out, which will alleviate the majority of bunching common with neoprene sleeves. Like our knee supports, we are able to manufacture most of our elbow supports with a Velcro closure, when required, to accommodate issues such as varied sizing due to swelling of the injury.
