This Monthly Progress Report (MPR) is being provided at the request of the MDEQ to provide an update regarding the implementation of the December 13, 2017 Source Area Investigation Work Plan  (WP) and  the August 3,  2018 Revised  Lamoreaux  Farms Soil Investigation Work Plan  (LF WP)  related  to per‐  and polyfluorinated alkyl  substances (PFAS) detected in residential wells in the Wolven/Jewell study area.   

ACTIONS PERFORMED 

During  this  time  period,  August  11  through  September  26,  2018,  GZA  has  done  the following tasks: 

1. August 27  through September 7: R&W/GZA mobilized  to  the Site.   Mobilization included  clearing  the  temporary  access  road,  clearing  vegetation  in  the  drilling  area, temporary fence installation at the entrance of the property, and getting equipment and supplies up for use at the Site.  

2. September  10  through  September  26:    The  grid  drilling  and  soil  sampling  was completed.    During  this  period,  58  soil  samples  were  collected  and  submitted  to  the laboratory for analysis.   

Table 1 summarizes the soil samples collected.  The approximate soil boring locations are shown on attached Figure 1.  Final boring locations will be included in the next MPR. 

ANALYTICAL DATA RECIEVED 

No data was received. 

ANTICIPATED ACTIONS AND SCHEDULE FOR NEXT REPORTING PERIOD  

During  the next  reporting period,  September 25  through October 25, 2018, R&W/GZA anticipates the following activities:   

1) Begin the data evaluation of soil data from Lamoreaux Farms once complete data sets are received from the laboratories.

2) Begin drilling at proposed monitoring well PMW‐WV‐7 and potentially other locations as access is gained. 

3) Prepare boring logs from the Lamoreaux Farms investigation.  We anticipate data from the soil sampling will be received during the next period. 

4) Conduct a round of static water levels on the existing monitoring wells.
