Analysys International: China Mobile Phone Sales Hit 90.39 Million in 2013Q2 Smartphone Accounted for 85 Percent Analyst of Analysys International: Wang Jun The statistics from EnfoDesk, the Survey of China Mobile Terminals Market in Q2, 2013, newly released by Analysys International, shows that the sales of China mobile phone (excluding parallel imports and the cottage) hit 90.39 million, up 36.0 percent year on year with a sequential growth rate down 0.2 percent by 2013Q2. Hereinto, Chinese Smartphone sales hit 77.11 million rose as high as 101.9 percent with the sequential growth rate being 2.4 percent. The total smart phone market share continued to rise 85.3 percent. EnfoDesk Analysys International held that the overall market decline in sales in this quarter for two reasons: The second quarter of each year is generally the low-season of China mobile phone market without much marketing campaign, leading to decline in sales or decline in sales growth. Second, compared with Q1 Apple sales was weak, down nearly 30 percent. It mainly due to the decline of the user's buying enthusiasm after its new product listed a few months later, coupled with its lack of innovation in new products and it had not been widely recognized by consumers, resulting in Apple's sales dropping sharply in Q2. Although sales of the overall market declined in Q2, the market still had some highlights: relying on Galaxy S4, Samsung’s sales grew, further widening the gap with domestic manufacturers; In ZHCL (ZTE, HuaWei, Coolpad and Lenovo), only Coolpad had an rapid increase in the market share. Depending on its quick launch and upgrade of new products as well as its good partnerships with three operators, it constantly consolidated its market share; The biggest winner in this quarter was China Mobile. After the sales of its TD-SCDMA mobile phone exceeded EVDO, it further surpassed WCDMA and became the largest 3G system in mobile phone selling.

The statistics from EnfoDesk, the Survey of China Mobile Terminals Market in Q2, 2013, newly

released by Analysys International, shows that the sales of China mobile phone (excluding

parallel imports and the cottage) hit 90.39 million, up 36.0 percent year on year with a sequential

growth rate down 0.2 percent by 2013Q2. Hereinto, Chinese Smartphone sales hit 77.11 million
